Well I had an interesting experience last night while dining in at the restaurant which was my first time. My waitress who had short black and blue hair took our order and seemed nice at first but things quickly changed. After waiting almost an hour we still had not been served. Two other table who were seated about 30 minutes after us had already began eating. The owner I'm assuming checked in on us and said is everything okay and I told her we had just been waiting. Well another 10 minutes goes by and at the point I had to leave to get my daughter. I walked up the the counter and quietly told the waitress that we needed to just pay for our drinks and leave. I thought that would be easy and that's when things turned upside down. She then completely ignored me and then walked away to another table. I sat down because I assumed she heard me and would bring the bill for the drinks. The blue hair waitress I'll call her because I don't know her name turned from nice to a maniac person in the middle of this restaurant. She said very loudly and rude that we just wanted to pay for our drinks to the entire restaurant now looking at us because she was raising her voice at me . She then said your food cooking its almost done are you serious right now. Then I point out to her I have to leave I've waiting for over an hour and people that were here after me are already eating and I need to get my daughter . She then started just getting super unprofessional in the middle of the restaurant and her demeanor and tone was so rude. Her boss was great and offered to fix the situation but I was just upset by her employee. Overall the place is nice and food I hear is great. Just don't be surprised if you get the short haired employee with...
Read moreAs a Japanese cuisine connoisseur , I can’t quite put my finger on this one. I tried out Sakura 15 for the first time yesterday, and my experience was confusing to say the least. It’s an odd dichotomy between really mid ingredients being cooked by a very good chef. The way my steak was cooked was out of this world tender and unbelievably juicy… however that’s it? Just plain steak. I think your menu would benefit from some sauté and vegetables with your bento meats. The cooking makes the price point worth it but the ingredients do not, thus making the chef’s skill moot. I just find that unfair for everyone involved. It’s a shame, I’d like to be a returning customer because I see a lot of potential here but the dishes are just so… boring compared to what I’m used to. Teriyaki would be absolutely divine with this steak bento, maybe even a little bit of sauté vegetables in there too. Just make the menu a little more exciting and customers will be raving more than they already are, at least in my opinion. I’m not quite sure why I’m so passionate about this, maybe I just see a lot of potential here. My compliments to the chef.
P.S. you guys forgot my pork roll...
Read moreI would give this place 0 stars if I could. Genuinely the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I ordered take out on Saturday evening and told it would be 20 minutes. It was in fact 45 minutes… We were ignored for a while when we went in and when we finally got the attention of the old woman at the front she walked away for a while. The order ended up being wrong and when I went back in to get it fixed, the old woman argued with me for damn near 10 minutes about how what I ordered wasn’t on the menu. She spoke to me and my friend like we were stupid and we couldn’t understand the difference between sushi and sashimi- and guess what? SHE WAS WRONG!!! She told us what we had ordered would “never be served at her restaurant” and when we pulled out her menu to prove her wrong, she looked real stupid! She didn’t offer to comp anything and actually made me pay for the food that was missing from the order. Also I was very sick from the fish the next day. Never...
