Bangkok Thai is an excellent restaurant on the east side with a very welcoming environment. I have been here multiple times and have always had a great experience. Most recently we sat in a charming patio that they have on the side of the building, it was beautiful! The spring rolls, fresh rolls, and chicken satay are all delicious appetizers that I would recommend. The Tom Yum soup had a bit too much shrimp paste for my taste, but was good nonetheless. The best entree I have had by far is the Tangerine Duck. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent. The beef pad Thai is quite good, the noodles especially. Most recently I had the Pad Kratium Prik Thai with chicken was a new favorite of mine! Lots of chicken, broccoli, and bok choy. The volcano chicken is also a recent favorite of ours. Overall the food is fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and fast!

The service was through the roof. This visit was top notch. However it was 530 on a Wednesday. The mango sticky rice was the best I've ever had, the mango was ripe and fresh. I was a little disappointed in my drunken man. -1💫 This dish had to much sodium in it aka msg. If they dial that back a bit it will be better. I hope I don't get a headache from hell because of the msg. -1💫 The thai ice tea could use more tea than cream. This is a beautiful setting. Tho the floors could use an overhaul!

This is the best Thai restaurant in town. Fine dining, romantic, and relaxing ambience. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and provide excellent service. There is generally no wait time. The food is served within less than 5 minutes. The table and food presentation is meticulously executed. Tod Mun and Seafood rings are excellent savory appetizers. The Pad Kee Mao is very flavorful. The Yum Woon Sen adds a nice refreshing touch with chilled glass noodle salad. Will definitely return.

I never leave reviews, but my most recent experience here has compelled me to write one. I feel like I need to let everyone know, this place is AWESOME. The hostess, the server, and the owner are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met in food service. Every time you come in, you feel genuinely welcomed, like the staff is happy just to see you. Through and through, the service is phenomenal. You are constantly being checked up on, but they will not hover over you. Other restaurants in Bloomington should take note, do it like Bangkok Thai.

Onto the food. It was EXCELLENT. I normally order Pad Kra Prow and every time, it delivers. I’ve tried many items on the menu. Their spice level is consistent and the portions are large. You can tell the food is fresh and the ingredients are quality. I love everything I’ve had from here.

Take your S.O. here. Take your family here. Come here by yourself on a Tuesday @ 1 pm for lunch. It has a nice ambiance and feeling inside the restaurant. I promise, you will...

I used to work in a good Thai restaurant this one’s a 2. I went with a safe order of Thai rolls and pineapple fried rice both with tofu (which was of excellent quality albeit soggy and undercooked in both). The vegetables in the fried rice were maybe 3% of the dish. Small onion slices, frozen undercooked peas, and tiny carrot cubes were not made up for by the two awkward slices of peeled cucumber. The pineapple was fine. I ordered both at a 3 and there wasn’t a red pepper flake or anything like it in sight. If the 50c of unseasoned soggy rice and 10c of vegetables flash wok cooked in 3 minutes were 4$ instead of 14 I would have been pleased. The Thai roles were undercooked and pale. I arrived early for my takeout so it was fresher than it would have been otherwise. Have you seen the wine prices, don’t go. No you’re 30% off sign hasn’t convinced me you’re offering a reasonable price or quality...
