My wife and I were excited to try El Pueblo tonight. We arrived at 7:30pm and there was only one other table with guests in the restaurant. We sit down and order a frozen margarita and a “craft margarita” from the menu. I was told by our server that “there’s no bartender here tonight and I don’t know how to make a craft margarita” so I ordered a house margarita instead. A craft margarita there just means it’s not pre-made. A house is pre-made. When it came out, it tasted like nothing but lime juice. So I asked for a Corona instead. Our server told me that they only had Corona draft and asked if I wanted a 16oz or a 30oz. I asked for a 16oz and then she told me it’s not Corona...it’s Modelo but they’re pretty much the same thing. So, I drank water.
We ordered queso to start and then we ordered the Mole Poblano and Taquitos for dinner. The queso was good. The Mole Poblano was terrible and so was the Taquitos. The meat tasted like it had cinnamon in it and the mole sauce was awful. We literally each took one bite of our entrees and asked for the check. We paid $60 to eat queso, drink water, and to take one bite of our entrees. No one ever asked if our entrees were good and our server had a busser bring out check because she “couldn’t find her mask.” Well no one was wearing their mask so I understand why she lost it.
Disappointing! My wife and I have both worked in the restaurant industry and nothing we experienced at El Pueblo was done well...or even average. We left and got take-out from...
Read moreIf you haven’t yet dined at El Pueblo, located at 4270 Hunt Road Blue Ash, OH 45242, I would highly recommend it for several reasons. First of all, it is authentic. Many Mexican restaurants are owned by Americans who think they know how to make Mexican food. However, El Pueblo is not one of those. Along with quesadillas and enchiladas, they have many traditional Mexican dishes, with wide ranges of spice, from none to mouth burning. They also cook it very well. I have never ordered something there that I did not like. Next, they have excellent and speedy service. The very friendly waiters come immediately when you sit down to give you your chips and salsa, which, by the way, taste excellent. When you do order, your food almost always arrives within ten to fifteen minutes. Finally, the building itself and its atmosphere is very nice. El Pueblo has two rooms, the main dining area and a bar area that is used at lunch. Honestly, the bar is a great place to go on a Sunday at lunch time. You get excellent food while you get to watch a game. At dinner time, the place is bustling with activity in sides of the colorful walls. I hope you will soon dine...
Read moreStopped at this restaurant for dinner. And if you really want some good food and hot food, I would not stop here ever again. I ordered a single burrito and the meat with lukeworm. I asked for shredded cheese and they put barely any on, and I just thought I'm paying for this stuff. Why would you limit what I'm paying for and the server? He was just running around all over the place. Wasn't coming back. They only had one Margarita that they mixed up, and it was not poor it was very poor I mean the taste is all I can say, is if you want a good Mexican dinner, do not stop here because the service is if you want it was not even that many people there. And he was just running around. I mean, you didn't Get good service at all like I said. The burrito was the meat in its side was cold.I could have sent it back, but you know what I figure i'm never coming in here again. So if you want nice, hot food or you used to eating your food, lukeworm and a good margarita, margarita wasn't good at all.He said they only carried the one they mixed up theirself,...
