We came with three paying groups. My sister-in-law and her fiancé, my mother-in-law and her two kids, and myself with my two. I had clarified what came with the dip that I’d ordered and was told “It comes with four pita.”

After being given a number I waited beyond everyone else at my table for several minutes.

When I went up to the counter to ask where my food was, I was told my MIL had already taken it. I was confused at this as she had never called my number. They had already eaten half of the two pita. Which I’d found out was actually only one pita cut into four pieces. Point one, why does an appetizer have the same amount of pita as a side? Especially when the dip is in a greater amount.

I’d gone to the counter to ask for more pita at least as due to their service I was now missing half of my pita.

The woman at the counter showed sympathy but then looked around a little lost at what was going on and started asking about mobile orders. I waited there for about two minutes when she’d finally looked back at me sheepishly.

“I’m sorry” she’d said. “I forgot to help you with your pita. That’ll be one dollar”. I firmly said no and sat back down.

I will not be going back and will not recommend...

I found this place by mistake. I had made plans to take my wife for dinner somewhere else, then found out it was closed that particular night. We needed somewhere close by so that we could eat before the babysitter was done. In our scramble for another option we stumbled across Al-Amir here on Yelp. The reviews are right. This place is great! The gyros, schawarma, and falafel are delicious. I lived in the Middle East for 2 years in graduate school and the food at Al-Amir is the closest thing to actually being back over there that I've experienced in the US. The prices are great and the food is better. If it didn't take 30 minutes to get here I'd be getting takeout from here multiple times a week. They do have several tables with chairs. The tables and chairs were deserted when we were there. Only two other couples came in while we were there and they were picking up takeout orders. At least the night we were there gave us the feeling this place hasn't really been discovered yet. It needs to be. This place is great and I hope it...

I love to try chicken shwarmas all around town. This place, no doubt about it, has one of my most favorite. My wrap was overflowing with yummy, flavorful goodness. For the price, you get a generous serving.

I have never actually had a gyro before, but the owner offered to make me one to try since they no longer have philly cheesesteaks. It was delicious, and my wife liked it too. She never had a gyro either.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. The owner and his family work hard to make sure you enjoy your food and enjoy your experience. The name of the restaurant has been changed to their little daughter's name. She is sweet, cute, and bubbly. You can sometimes see her there, and she is entertaining if you engage her.

I highly recommend this place and encourage others to try it. The more people who know about this treasure and continue to spread the word, then the longer they will be around. I don't ever want to see this place shut down in...

Went in and asked about the mega gyro as I was curious the difference. Well, I recommend not getting the mega gyro unless you're feeding like three people. Ridiculous amount of delicious meat. By the time I was done you could make 1 or 2 more gyros with the meat that fell out. Felt miserable afterwards it was so much. Food tasted delicious. Could have used slightly more sauce but, again that's because there was so much food. While I got it to go, it looked like a cool spot to eat in, especially the patio which has a resident parrot that hangs out. Definitely looking forward to trying the shwarma at some point. Added the menu as the previous pics were outdated.

Before you read this keep in mind that I am from Michigan where you can get some of the finest Mediterranean food in the world and I might be spoiled . Having said that this place was terrible. The hunmus was tasteless except for the bitter aftertaste from what might have been rancid low grade olive oil. The salad was wilted under a dressing of vinegar and the grape leaves were as though they were from some time past. The integrity of the leaves and rice had broken down and turned to mush. The take out atmosphere consisted two women chattering away in Arabic at the top of their voices presumably trying to out do the radio playing in the background

First visit but not first gyro…. It was ok, tasted like a gyro! My only downfall was waiting too long to eat it making the lattice soggy and the sauce a lil dry. Too too greasy as well, watched the meat being placed on a grill which I do not recommend🙅🏽‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ but overall the service was good and the gyro could be better. I was introduced to gyros at a young age by my grandmother so I take advantage of any chance I get to have one. (Last one I had was a month ago from Sebastian on the Westside….don’t know why I didn’t review his🤔it was great!)❤️
