La Fuente Mexican Street Food — Restaurant in Blue Springs

We are here at least once a week if not twice. Even with a few inconsistencies the food was good and service was mid to good just depending on who was working that day. I went in on Thursday 5/30/24. New person on the line at first the interaction was mid until I got to the register. My total for nachos with gauc was 14.66. I first thought they raised prices and I just didn't pay attention. So I look and the board and shockingly prices had not changed but I was charged 1.50 more than the menu price. I asked why and was met with nachos are more. The menu clearly shows 10.50 for tacos burritos bowls and nachos. No where was it posted that nachos were more or that the menu board price was not correct. After going back a forth about the pricing disception. He finally asked what do you want your 1.50 back. Yes sir I do want my 1.50 back and I will not be back. He stated good. Sir you should of just fixed the situation and posted somewhere the new prices instead of having a full blown argument trying to defend your price disception. Now I'm just curious of how many ppl you robbed out...

Maybe I just had a isolated first experience. Went to drive-thru and ordered 1 burrito 2 orders of steak street tacos (so six total with 3 per order) with rice.

Now since this is fast food and not a restaurant I use lower expectations generally.

Good thing is that you can actually buy beer/ Margarita on the go. Bad is that the outer trash and side walk on drive up was littered with beer cans.

While ordering every item I choose, i was told every ingredient on the item and after each was asked if I was sure I wanted it. As someone who has been a fast food manager for several years I did think this was excessive and over the top.

After getting the food and getting home we realized that we were shorted an order of street tacos and were given a quesadilla instead.

When eating the food was on the dryer side tasted rather bland. The street tacos kept falling apart and leaking out from the bottom of the tortilla were it kept tearing open. I don't really recommend based on my experience. I might try again in a few moths...

This is My first visit. I ordered three hardshell tacos with grilled chicken peppers, cheese, and lettuce. On my tacos the lettuce clearly was bad and had black spots on it. The lady behind the counter, apologize and removed the lettuce off of the tacos. Got a new container out and then continued to pick through it to find edible pieces.

At the first bite of my taco, the shell was tough , like right out of the box and the grilled chicken was cold.

If you haven’t been in here, you will know the ordering line is set up like chipotle. The food is in a warming table. So the chicken should not have been cold in my opinion.

It is Really a shame. The atmosphere is welcoming and the restaurant is cleaner than any Mexican restaurant in blue Springs. However, that doesn’t mean anything if you have bad food.
