One star is too many! We have been frequenting this Sonic on Woods Chapel for 6 years since we moved to the neighborhood, and for the past two years it's been slow, inconsistent service. But the past 6 months have been unbearable. Went in yesterday, pushed the red button, and waited... waited.... waited.... Watched other vehicles doing the same. I asked if anyone was taking their order and they said no one was answering and they eventually gave up and drove away. I assumed their system was down, do I placed my single drink order on the app and waited. Keep in mind I am now one of only two people here. Everyone else has given up and left. After another 10 minutes I went to knock on the restaurant door and the three people inside ignored me. I can only assume they worked there. One person had a uniform on, another was wearing a tank top, sagging basketball shorts, and sandals, and the other was an older gentleman in street clothes. After being ignored I opened the door and asked if I could please get my drink. They asked me what I wanted and told them I ordered a Cranberry Limade. They apologized and said they were slammed. Really!? No one's in the drive thru because you didn't answer them. No one's in the stalls because you didn't answer them. How in the world can they be "SLAMMED"? I waited another 10 minutes for my drink. During that time more vehicles came, pushed the red button, no response, and they eventually drove off. I walked around the building and noticed another Sonic employee, this one actually had a full uniform on, talking with another vehicle parked in the back. I assumed they were getting service, but no. They were smoking and from the smell of it, it wasn't cigarettes. The older guy in street clothes I saw inside the restaurant earlier has more left the inside and was going to join them for a smoke... WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS PLACE!? Went to the door again, opened it and asked the remaining two "employees" where my drink was. They said it would be a few more minutes. So I stood there and waited. Apparently they didn't like that so they finally made my drink and have it to me. Went back to my car and drove off, only to discover they made the wrong drink!!! No way was I about to go back. Went to the Sonic across town on HWY 7 and had my drink order in literally less than a minute. So whatever you do AVOID the Sonic on Woods Chapel. This is coming from someone who lives in the neighborhood and has frequented it many times over the years. Something has to change. Either someone from corporate needs to step in, replace the manager and hire employees that actually want to work, or it just needs to...
Read moreIf you have read any of my reviews you will know that I try to be positive and give high reviews. So it's sad when I have to give a review that is negative. I went through the drive thru twice this week. Each time I called over and over the intercom Hello is anyone there??? with NO response. 1st visit two minutes of silence tonight 3 minutes and I finally screamed it's been 3 minutes is anyone here? Then Rude distracted teen answers. After my order was taken it took 10 minutes in the drive through waiting for a #1, and 3 drinks. And the kicker is I get home with my dad's #1 hamburger to find a cold chicken sandwich
Update: my parents went here today Mother's Day obviously they had not read my review... This is their review: all of the food that they received was cold the bun that was on my dad's Burger was hard as a rock in probably three days old's my mom ordered a simple hot dog it was cold like not even cooked and she was afraid to eat it because of salmonella (and I know we all have lived on cold hot dogs growing up it was more the fact that we had no idea where that hot dog had been). The condiments that were on my dad's Burger were slimy and this isn't a redeeming feature but the only positive my 76-year old father had to say was he got three cherries in his cherry limeade... this Sonic sucks do...
Read moreIt's a real shame when you drive up to get a couple of shakes. On top of this being supposedly a deluxe shake, I also ordered a brownie bite shake with extra brownies. Last time they barely added any brownies in it and was mostly just vanilla ice cream. So this time I made sure I asked for extra brownies. Wait almost 10 minutes to get to the window even though there were only two cars ahead of me. All good.
I get up to the window and the lady passes my shakes and noticed there was no extra brownies even though I asked for them. I asked if I could get extra brownies and she obliged. Came back with a small container with maybe a spoonful of brownie mix like it was some rare commodity. I asked if I could get a little more, to which she replied "it cost extra though" I said I requested it in my initial order. I reached out with my card to happily pay for it and she just stared at me for a second refused my card and went to fill the container. She returned and asked, "Is that good enough for you?" I said yes and drove off. It's not the transaction but the way she handled it. You would have thought I asked to borrow her car or something.
I should just stop going to this location because it's a disappointment every time. Shake also looks nothing like what's advertised. 13 bucks for pretty much two...
