My dining companion (DC) and I ate here Sunday at noon. The restaurant had not yet been open a week but the word was out because it was already crowded. The sign said “seat yourself.” We were third in line and got a table near the door within 5 minutes. Two walls of the restaurant are all glass so the place is very bright. The floor is covered with whitish tile, the tables are cultured marble, and the seats are not padded. Because of all the hard surfaces, the place is stark and loud. The menu includes a surprisingly wide variety of selections including eggs (of course), waffles, crepes, and other breakfast goodies. The backside of the menu includes many luncheon selections such as sandwiches, wings, fries, and burgers. I ordered the house waffle with grits and toast. My DC ordered chicken wings and waffles. We also had coffee and iced tea. Our waiter was attentive and professional. Our food was served promptly and was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. I asked my DC if she would come back to this place, and she said “not likely” because of the lack of ambience. We noticed several groups of people come up to the door, look in, and then leave. Perhaps because of the ambiance. Too bad. They have a great menu, delicious food, and reasonable prices. Too bad the place is not more comfortable...

Went to this place bright and early expecting a clean, decent breakfast spot. What a mistake. The salt shakers on our table were absolutely revolting - caked with grime and sticky residue that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. But that wasn’t even the worst part.
We watched in horror as bugs scurried across the floor and even spotted one crawling near the kitchen area. I can’t even imagine what the food prep areas look like if the dining room is this filthy. The lack of basic cleanliness is inexcusable for any restaurant, especially one serving food.
To top it off, they’re still gouging customers with ridiculous upcharges. They wanted an extra dollar for eggs, claiming prices are still high, when anyone who shops for groceries knows egg prices have dropped significantly. It’s pure greed disguised as economic necessity.
The food itself was mediocre at best, but honestly, I was too grossed out by the unsanitary conditions to enjoy anything. Save your money and your health - go literally anywhere else for breakfast. This place needs a serious health inspection and a complete overhaul of their cleaning standards.
Will never return and wouldn’t recommend to my worst...
Read moreNice breakfast location. Great customer service. Clean, open atmosphere. The coffee was "diner" coffee.. so so. Water was filtered and good (some restaurants seem to serve bad tasting water to force you to purchase one of their beverages. IMO).
MY husband ordered the Triple Crown Omelet, hash browns, and toast. The eggs (2) were cooked very thinly, and they reminded me of a crepe. It was filled with 3 great meats and cheese. He enjoyed it - I found it tasty, but dry. The hash browns were great! The "sourdough toast", first of all - SC doesn't seem to ever stock sourdough.. they serve a thick white bread. Today, the toast was just OK.
I ordered 2 eggs (scrambled with cheese and onions added), 2 slices of bacon (crispy) and a regular waffle. I think the cheese and onions MADE those scrambled eggs delicious. The bacon consistency was amazing! But it was so salty I had to break it up and eat it WITH the eggs. That made it great, though I do wish it wasn't so salty. The waffle was bland, cold, and truly unpleasant. I gave most to my hubby. He said it was acceptable to him. I wish I had ordered the Belgian Waffle in hindsight. Overall, not sure this is a repeat visit. But it was nice to be with my...
