We really enjoy Greek food so we were excited to try the new place. It was busy as it was Saturday evening and most tables were filled but we were seated pretty quickly. Looking at the menu we were surprised to see adding grape leaves to a Greek salad was an additional $8. Shouldn't they already be on the salad? My husband ordered the gyro and I ordered the chicken shawarma. The food was served quickly. Our first reaction was the gyro wasn't wrapped in a pita, and there was no pita on the plate. There was no pita on my plate either. My husband said his dinner was ok, nothing special. My shawarma was really too chopped up and dry. My dinner came with garlic sauce on the side, which was good, but then I asked for taziki, which eventually came. The portions were enough but a major negative was that the food wasn't hot. It was lukewarm at best; and I mean everything on the plate. For a busy Saturday night, that's not acceptable. (Generally not acceptable anytime) So remember the taziki I asked for? That was about maybe a 2 oz cup. That was a $1.50 charge on my bill. One, I should have been told it was an additional charge, and two, it shouldn't have been an additional charge, especially for such a small amount. Needless to say, we were disappointed. PS - our bill was almost $60. I had water and my...
Read moreIn the past, this location was a cheeseburger cheeseburger and then primetime grill. They have done a wonderful job of changing the whole atmosphere in the restaurant. It’s charming and well decorated. Our server was very pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. My mother had the Greek salad and was beyond thrilled at the fresh taste. It was not overdressed. Everything was fresh and crisp very well done. I had the falafel wrap. It was Well, seasoned the falafel themselves had a crispy outside with a light inside very well done. My uncle had the shrimp and said it was probably the best shrimp he has ever had for dessert. We shared the baklava which was topped with what seem to be a homemade ice cream. The baklava was not sopping wet as some tend to be. It was well put together and the ice cream on top was absolutely delicious. All in all, an excellent experience and I highly recommend...
Read moreI felt it was expensive. There were 5 of us, we ordered two margaritas each and we all agreed we couldn't taste the alcohol. For $16 a margarita, we expected more. We didn't say anything, I guess no one wanted to be that person! When it came to the bill, we were all charged a large party fee of 20%. This was surprising, since there were five of us, the average family size, not a large party! According to Google AI a large party is 6 or 8 people plus. We were also charged a hospitality fee and a liquor by the drink tax. I've never seen these hidden fees in SC and I don't appreciate them very much. Having said that, the food was tasty. I will post a picture...
