Chin Dynasty — Restaurant in Bluffton

Service was excellent - I'll start off with that.

Fried noodles were served as appetizer - ugh. They were greasy, bland and not very crispy.

We ordered a serving of egg rolls. The egg rolls were overcooked, the shell was way too dark and crispy, I'd equate to being burnt. The inside of the egg rolls were very tasty - I pulled it out and ate it by itself. It appeared to be cabbage in a dark sauce.

The portions were large - I had broccoli chicken and my hubby had sesame chicken. The sesame seeds were almost non-existent in the sesame chicken since it was a large portion. There was no sesame flavor. It came with a very small portion of broccoli.

The brown sauce in the chicken broccoli was way too thick and salty. I believe the chicken was probably dark meat - it didn't have the look and feel of a piece of white meat. With the exception of the brown sauce, the broccoli was good. On a side note, which wasn't mentioned, there were carrots in the mix. That should have been noted.

We had "fried rice" with both meals. We both felt that the fried rice was sticky, clumped together and bland, not fried rice that I'm used to.

Also, Chin Dynasty is on the left side of the complex. There is no parking in the immediate area, there is a small area for pick-up (2-cars). The "front door" with a small awning faces an "alley", possibly the side of the movie theater. There is also a larger awning, however, it enters at the back of the restaurant. Strange situs.

I have been to Chin Dynasty three times since moving to the area from Ohio. Overall, the food is good. Each time I have placed my take out order via their online app found on the website. Two weeks ago, I arrived five minutes before the order was supposed to be ready. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I was finally greeted and asked for my phone number. My order had been missed. I waited another 20 minutes for the preparation of my food. Tonight, I placed another to go order via their website. I waited for about 10 minutes before finally asking someone about my order. I was told that the kitchen staff will announce orders as they come out of the kitchen. After another 10 minutes, I asked the bartender to please check on my order. Another 10 minutes go by before someone helps me. Again, I'm told that the order was "missed" and the food had not been prepared. Another 15 minutes later, my order comes out. One of the entrees was missed and not prepared. Then one of the staff tells me that online ordering is worthless because they only pay attention to phoned in orders and Door Dash orders. In total, I spent 50 minutes waiting. By the time I got home, most of the food was cold and past prime. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I highly do not...

I ordered two kids plates for my children. When transferring their food onto a plate at home I became upset because there was a thin string of hair in the rice. I decided to put the plate to the side and have the children split the one plate left. Upon opening, I couldnt believe there was a dead bug on the seasame chicken. I was disgusted and decided that was enough and called then to let them know. The host was shocked and told me to bring it in. I brought it in the next day and the same host was not friendly at all. She knew who i was and why i was there. She never greeted me upon me coming in and waited until the customer that was in there fully left before she even acknowledged and addressed me. When she opened the plate and saw the hair, she said ohh that's not our hair, we don't have curly hair. (Which the hair was silky and wavy.. very similar to theirs).
