The Asian 'Zensations Zalad' Perked My Interest!

I was looking for something to eat on the lighter side as I had been out for business dinners a few nights in a row in Blytheville. I had never eaten at a Zaxby's and was curious to try their food. Zaxby's is a national chain with a focus on Chicken and Fried Chicken and they also have other items on the menu as well. The staff was great and helpful and answered my questions about the food and suggested I try the Grilled Chicken Zalad from the 'Asian Zensations' menu as I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

The Asian Zensation Zalad is a mixed greens salad with grilled marinaded chicken and comes with an egg roll. The chicken is served with a honey sesame teriyaki glaze, made with soy sauce, fresh ginger, fresh garlic, honey, brown sugar and wonton strips. The egg roll is marketed as hand-rolled in a crispy wonton wrapper, filled with shredded cabbage, carrots, green onion and seasoning and served with Zaxby's signature Sweet & Spicy sauce.

The 'Zalad' lacked greens but came with a very healthy portion size of chicken. The egg roll tasted like it was a frozen egg roll that was heated up. I would give this salad 3.5 stars overall for its price range and flavours.

The Restaurant itself has plenty of seating and the walls are adorned with sports memorabilia from the local sports teams, which give the interior a homey feel. This was my first time at a Zaxby's and I am so happy this was the place I went. I got the fajita quesadilla and it was hands down the absolute best quesadilla I have ever had. It was so good that I bought another to take to go and I also tried the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. It was also delicious! The service, where do I even begin? they were very kind, quick and during my to go order we were even joking about how delicious it was and why I had to order another. They laughed when I stated, "I would be back everyday that I was here visiting." The ladies restroom was very clean and smelled clean as well. A clean restroom is a huge make it or break it for me. The lobby was also clean and the employees were keeping up with it swiftly. I will definitely make this a stop on my frequent travels...

The ceiling was leaking heavily on us. When I asked to speak to a manager about it (not to complain, just to let them know that they should put a sign on the booth) I was told that the manager already knew and would do nothing about it, and that she was in a staff meeting in the corner booth. The worker said I could talk to her there. I found her and let her know the ceiling was damn near pouring on my group, and she said "You should have seen the wetness and sat somewhere else. And if we were really busy then you would have had nowhere else to sit, would you?" I was SO mad. I wasn't even complaining, just trying to help them out.
