Horrible experience...Please read the entire review to see why I gave them 5 stars!! My wife and I were driving from Indiana to Texas, breaking Journey in Little Rock. It would be very late when we got to our destination so we decided to google a good place to eat and chose Olympia Steak and Seafood. We arrived at 8:30pm on a Monday evening. They were not happy to see us - I heard a voice from the back saying tell them the kitchen's closed. When I glanced at my watch, they corrected themselves and said that they would seat the last table at 9pm. When the waitress seated us, my wooden chair was full of dry gooey, syrupy spilled soft drink....too late I sat and it got all over my pants. Then a condescending waitress asked if everything was okay and if they would like for me to do something about my pants!! Anyway, we were hungry so I ordered the most expensive items on the menu, a bone in Rib eye with Broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes as well as a 10oz filet mignon with Asparagus and sweet potatoes. When the food came out, the vegetables were wilted - everything was haphazardly dusted with lawry's seasoned salt or something like that...our steaks were thin, tough and leathery - I was flabbergasted - then it happened - the manager walked up to our table and asked us if everything was okay - when I said no, he asked me to write it down - I refused and asked him what he thought was wrong? And this is why I gave this restaurant 5 Stars - Without a moments hesitation, extremely conrite, very sincere, just short of tears - took my wife and I by the hand to the back of the restaurant in a private area , very exquisite and said - "this is where we should have seated you - everything was horrible tonight - the food the service and just everything!! I am so sorry - I am having a bad night just got my vaccine and 3 of my staff quit!! people have just received their stimulus checks and are walking in to my steak house with all kinds of demands - some have never been to one before!! I am sorry " He would not let me pay for our meal even when I tried to insist. You see - it takes a lot of guts to admit when something's wrong - most folks get very defensive - but not Harry. He took a bad experience and turned it around by making up for it - sincerely - that's the key word - sincerely. Folks I think you should visit this restaurant - the menu is pretty elaborate - and most of all they have an awesome manager. Please say hello to Harry if you decide to stop by - I am quite sure it will be an...
Read more100% would recommend! Being from New Orleans it's hard to find a decent place to eat when I come through the Midwest area a few times every year, but this place is LEGIT. If you're one of those boring people who enjoy bland food, well done steaks with A1, and prefrozen beer battered onion rings then this ain't the place for you. This place batters in house, seasons, and cooks to PERFECTION! I started with the calamari, which had a delicious light and flaky but still crunchy homemade batter on it, fried perfectly (not in any way over done or chewy, seriously, the fry cook NAILED IT!), good sized portion, and served with a homemade marinara dip. I got the strip as my entrée, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint in any way! The seasoning, plus the grilled flavor, and once again somebody in the kitchen who knows how to cook, it was one of the most delicious and perfectly cooked medium-rare steaks I've ever had from a restaurant. To be honest, I rarely order steaks out anywhere anymore because I got tired of wasting money on underseasoned and overcooked steaks. But I rolled the dice on this one and I'm glad I did! Kudos to everybody at this place, from the super friendly hostess and servers, to the very skilled cooks and kitchen staff. In the past when I make this trip from New Orleans to Iowa and back I have always stayed in West Memphis mid trip, but I will be making a point to stay in Blytheville from now on during this trip just to get a good meal here before getting back on the road. Thanks again to everybody here for an awesome meal and friendly experience, and please don't be discouraged by haters, especially those who clearly have no taste. Again, being born and raised in New Orleans, a place largely acknowledged as a top food destination, I assure you, yall are doing something right,...
Read moreOur appetizer was the potato skins and they were AMAZING. However, I ordered a $12 chef salad thinking it would have good quality meats on it, well it was sliced packaged not even fresh sliced meats either but like from a package pre sliced meats. The lettuce was brown, the cucumber was brown, and the bowl was full of onion sliced bigger than anything in the salad, the hard boiled egg was also way over cooked with the yolk being super grey. My husband ordered the fried fish, most of it was all breading and was over cooked. The waitress was sweet but didn’t pay attention to the empty beer glass sitting at the edge of the table and didn’t bother taking any empty plates or glasses from the table during the entire meal. I also showed her my full bowl of brown salad and told her I just wanted her to know. I didn’t ask for it to be removed or anything at all but most high end steak seafood restaurants would see or hear this and would take it off before the question could be asked. This was our first time here and we definitely won’t return...
