Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Blythewood

I honestly think their food is great! Hands down the best! However, their hospitality is a little funny. I was parked on the side this morning due to my car stopping with myself and my 3 year old. I noticed workers (I believe) pulling up to go inside. Granted I am a stranger in a tinted car and I mean they may be a little suspicious of that...I am totally okay with that 100%. Have to be careful these days. However, I also noticed that a Cop car was sitting to the side as well. Not ordering just, sitting. Now, I didn't assume right off that the Cop car was for me...hell, I justed assumed that the Cop must be hungry and can't wait to get a burger, fries, etc. So not long after, the very nice tow truck guy comes and helps with my situation. As my 3 year old and myself exit the car...the Cop drives off! That's what pisses me off. Because then I see the young dude on his phone from inside looking outside at myself and my Lil one getting in the tow truck (assuming he's calling his Supervisor, etc. To say everything is all good)...but granted...Lil ole me wasn't going to hurt anyone in my mom car!!! Why were the cops called...on me. Of course no I was not harmed or treated like a criminal...but damn...did you really have to call the cops on me?? Why not check to see if I'm good? Or if my Lil one was good? Smh. But its cool. I just was a little shocked. I still gave 4 stars because I don't have any ill will towards them for being cautious. I was not going to harm anyone. Hell, I didnt want to be there my damn self! 😂 I Was trying to go home and clock in for work too! Y'all...

Why haven't I been here yet?! The food is fresh, not too expensive and soooo good. The staff is very friendly and pay close attention to how the food is made and presented. Not just your normal fake pics that look nothing like the food your served. I watched the cook use a lot of her time to make our food perfect. Sounds cheesy but you don't see this anymore. Here is something else I found totally worth coming here. They have sauce for you fries, hamburger, or whatever you want to put it on. Regular and jalapeno. The real cool thing is after a few minutes of eating, they had an employee check the temp of the sauce and log her findings. Didn't say anything. Didn't know anyone was paying attention. That makes me feel safe. Not only are the cheeseburger, hot dogs, and fries tasty but I love the little things that went into the service we received. They change up the menu every now and then but by far.... bring back the fried pickles. This is how I found this place Everyone I knew told me to go there for this. Love it, however it is RAPIDLY declining in cleanliness and service. Dropped a star. 4/30/20-Just dropped 2 more stars. I'm always willing to give a second chance, but this last visit on 4/28/20 pretty much sealed the deal. We arrived at 7:10 pm. Understanding the fact that we're in the midst of a global pandemic, I expected to wait in line at the drive through...cool...no problem. I ordered 2 vanilla sundaes. I got to the window and was greeted by a young lady with green gum hanging out the side of her mouth. Very unprofessional. STRIKE ONE! Not a single employee was wearing gloves or masks. STRIKE TWO! After she took my payment, she informed me that the vanilla was running slow and to pull into a parking space and they would bring it out. 30 MINUTES LATER, an employee came out to tell me the vanilla was still running slow and if I wanted chocolate instead. STRIKE THREE! I asked for a refund. There wasn't so much as an apology, an offer for a future comp, or even a thank you. Listen up Freddy! Buy another machine because this was the same issue as before. Your future customers will thank you for it but it certainly won't be me. Thank you Sonic. You were quicker, cheaper, professional...
