Tokyo Grill — Restaurant in South Carolina

Food was simply okay. Employee who greeted me was VERY kind and lovely to speak with. My 2 star review is due to their online menu directly connected to their website has the item of spring rolls as a 6 pack but they only provided 2. After getting home, I realized we only got 2 and I called in. I was told they didn’t make the menu and cannot change it, but they only serve them as 2 packs. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have purchased the item altogether. Very disheartened by the experience and letdown of nothing being made “right”. I realize things may be out of their control, but I feel like something could have been offered to make things right, such as 4 additional rolls to satisfy what I paid for or a coupon for another order to make things right and make the customer feel valid in their concern vs dismissing the issue. If the online order menu is directly linked with your website, you should honor your prices. We unfortunately will not...

Pushy counter staff. Not friendly at all. Tempura shrimp was very good. White sauce fantastic. Hibachi Steak and Shrimp had burnt steak even though the default is supposed to be medium rare. Asked for a cup of water while i waited and they graciously gave me a cup for water while I waited and apparently waived a .25 cent cup charge. Cook was on her phone while making the food and spent more time talking than cooking while I was there which delayed orders. Will give Tokyo Grill another shot but perhaps not this location.

Edit: After a couple more visits im bumping them up to 4 stars. Thankfully I havent run into the pushy counter person I had the first 2 times Ive visited. The steak was done each other time including tonight appropriately. I did have a chuckle as Ive noticed the window looking into the kitchen is now obscured so you cant really see into the kitchen any longer lol. Guess they dont want you to see the cook...

Condiments...with a side of spring "sticks" I hate when businesses move into a community and disrespects the people. You started off decent-not the best I've had but convienent..okay whatever. Tonight, I paid for 6 spring rolls and ended up with an order of insulting... kids meal sized, fried wonton wrappers, with an afterthought of cabbage, piled on a heaping bed of condiments. I've had mozzarella sticks that were bigger than this. Makes me wonder what other shortcuts you're taking now that you got your business going. But, I'm not gonna stick around to find out; you're gotten the last of my money. STOP TRYING TO TAKE...
