Today was just unbelievable.... I found out last week that this shop had recently reopened. I’m the matron of honor in my best friends wedding and she has made some changes, so I directed her to this shop to find a more suitable dress that fit her theme. She was excited to hear they reopened! I drove almost 2 hours to accompany her to look at their dress. When we entered the store we saw two women at the desk, the new owner and a saleswoman. The saleswoman did not greet us, instead she pointed to the front corner of the store and stated “homecoming is over there”. (Now I understand that maybe workout pants and a sheriff’s office shirt isn’t the nicest attire, but with all the driving I did on my free day I was going for comfort. I wasn’t looking for judging eyes and to be brushed off.) I said to the woman, that we weren’t here for prom we wanted to look at the wedding dresses. She then quickly referred us to the clearance rack. Now again a good deal is fantastic, but when we leave that rack we don’t need to be told with every dress we touch that it’s full price. Never the less we brushed it off and collected five dresses for her to try, four in preferred style and one that I liked and requested she tried on just to see something different. The dressing room was a whole other fiasco. She tried on dresses and as the her friend I gave critique where I felt it was needed and praise where it was wonderful. I wanted to be completely honest with her and wanted her to be completely happy with whatever she took home. When we got to the one I loved, she of course hated it. Lol I critiqued in the same manor and even joked around a lot about how I wish I had found it when I was getting married because I hadn’t worn a dress. We had a good laugh and she went to change. It was then that the sales person proceeded to tell my friend that she shouldn’t have brought me because I didn’t like anything and maybe I was jealous that I didn’t get to wear a dress for my big day. This irritates my friend a lot. She attempted to shut the woman down and put on the final dress. When she came out we were both in love and she wanted crinoline to put under it to get the full effect. The saleswoman very rudely argued with her, stated you couldn’t wear a hoop skirt with it. We both told her we were aware of that, we just wanted to see it with a crinoline slip. When she finally went and dug one out of the closet she started stretching it, and then proceeded to yell across the store “is there a bigger one, this doesn’t have enough give to fit her”. Mind you she’s only a size 8. That was the final straw. My friend was done and went to change. When she attempted to talk to the owner, the saleswoman proceeded to intervene repeatedly yelling “I did not, I did not”. It was unreal. Dress shopping for you big day should be stressful like this. No one should feel this insulted and the end of the day. Being made to feel like they shouldn’t be there, when they had a very nice budget in place to spend is awful. If a bride wants to look at dresses she shouldn’t feel like she’s being judge because the clothes she came in wearing are casual and comfortable. I will never return to this shop nor will I refer any of my friends or family to shop there. Especially since now the bride has zero desire to try on even...
Read moreI have gone here multiple times for dress, these two are just examples of what dresses I have purchased over the years from Treasured Moments. My mother and I lived a decent distance away and we discovered them on accident one day when we were in the area for my psychiatry appointment(my mom chose this psychiatrist because they worked very well for me even though they were hours away from my home). And so after an appointment with my doctor we stopped by and were just browsing and bam! We found a dress for my dance that was a month away and we purchased it on the spot. TM did not alter it because we lived so far away we couldn’t make another stop up to TM so soon. So the shortness of the dress was NOT Treasured Moments fault. And I’d like to say both dresses were individually under $200. And recently I went here to look for my wedding dress I found a dress I did absolutely love but I was told to try a few other places in case I found a dress I loved more. And I did find a dress I loved more, but Treasured Moments were so understanding of that when they called me today to check in on if I still wanted a dress from their store. I mentioned I found my dress but I would love if Jen could schedule me for an appointment to get my dress altered as I am relatively short and will not be wearing heels. Treasured Moments asked me if I could call them in November when they have their scheduling book for 2026. But all in all Treasured Moments has been the place for me since I was 15 years old. They have a multitude of plus size dresses and affordable dresses, even with wedding gowns! Totally can’t wait to see what they do to my wedding dress to make it even more like my...
Read moreAfter the most horrendous homecoming dress shopping in 2 states we were told to try Treasured Moments. I was hesitant because my daughter was let down and devastated from the selection of plus dresses in the area. I was also nervous because it looked like a boutique and had high end designer names. I was scared to walk in and finally find a dress and then let my daughter down because we couldn't afford to buy it. But, I am so happy we went! Within a half an hour we had found a dress! We had looked for weeks! They went up to a size 30! They had so many choices in 18+. Her dress was under 500 dollars and was designer (there was a clearance rack and many dresses for much less too). We just went back for her prom dress 2 weeks ago (we went back early so she had an even better selection) and within an hour she had picked a beautiful dress. Once again, awesome customer service, plenty of plus size dresses and reasonable prices for designer names. This dress was a little over $500 but priced over 6 online. Also alterations are available in house! Thanks Cathy for your one on one attention for both dances. My daughter went from a girl defeated and self conscious to a confident young women. We can't thank this store enough! I would venture to say this dress shop has the best selection of plus size dresses in the Mahoning Valley. The customer service is amazing and the alteration option is a lifesaver. We will be going here first from now on and for the next 2 daughters too!
Update! Liv's Prom experience was amazing. Thanks to Treasured Moments having an amazing plus selection!
