~ Honestly had higher expectations.
Pizza itself was pretty decent and I'd come back again...if it wasn't for their sneaky, unprofessional service towards customers (but maybe it was just my experience with this person a day ago, idk but I digress). Let me just point out and be the first to probably say, that whoever hired that Spanish looking fella, about 5'7, kinda husky, with a trimmed goatee; please, please, please get rid of him, or at least give him a re-evaluation on how to cater to customers! I went to use the bathroom right before I was going to leave so I left my friend to watch over my phone and wallet since I was about to pay the bill. My friend got up to ask for a refill and when he turns around to the table he's sees this employee, but acting in a suspicious manner at our table. Now when I came back to the table, he told me what had happened, but thought nothing significant of it. Fast forward to when I was paying the bill on my debit I glanced at the receipt to double check the correct total, and to my amazement, he had double charged me and my friend's meal twice! Suspicious, I told him what he had done and he apologized and said he went back and fixed it. Now I am currently writing this at home the day after and this is what really engaged me to write this whole review/negative rant, (or should I say horrible dining experience). I look to see how much cash I have in my wallet today (as I withdrew around $500 at my bank's ATM) and come to my surprise that 2 of my $100s were missing from my wallet, along with a couple of $20's. Note I withdrew money the day of going to this establishment and didn't think anything of it until today: my bank account showed it as well, being double charged on my meal. I have since filed a claim earlier today for my money to be reimbursed as it was unlawfully taken.....along with a mysteriously missing $260 in cash from my wallet. Now, as I said again I'm not disappointed in the food, much more rather the service; and in all honesty, if they'd get rid of that sketchy employee who's looks like riffraff, I'd gladly come back. I believe if I remember correctly that the employee's name was Ray (after I asked him why he hd double charged me). He Looked rather inexperience might I add..my guess is that he is most likely a new employee - one that should not be at that establishment, nor any other, especially if your plotting mischievous things to do at your own work towards customers/co-workers. The rest of the staff should probably watch out for any other "off" employees as the atmosphere overall was nice, but the staff for the most part (especially that Ray guy) was off, to say the least. Well thats my rant, I apologize in taking up all your guys' (precious and hard-working...not fraudulent)...
Read moreWe visited Boca for Christmas this year and ate at Blaze our first day on the 22nd. The pizza is great and priced well. We came back to eat again on the 26th and it was packed with people. There were 40 people in line, another 40 eating, and about the same waiting on their food. We were told 45 minutes and I waited an hour to pick our order up since it was quite large. When I got to the pickup counter I could see the mess and heard the people in front of me complaining I knew I was in for a little trouble with dinner. The people taking the orders by phone and at the counter were just writting on the slip sheets and stacking them up. The people making them were not making them together or in any particular order. The guy putting them in the oven was jamming the oven full and walking away and not watching. Pizzas were being burnt, given to wrong customers, made wrong, boxed and plated uncut, orders with multiple pizzas were being made so far apart (seriously an hour or more) It was total chaos......AND THEN THERE WAS ALICIA!!! (I have owned a pizza place in Missouri for 8 years.) Alicia comes from the register and starts taking control of the situation the best she can. She took heat for a solid hour from unhappy customers and started to visibly get bothered by it. Myself and another customer who had both waited for over 2 hours total now for our orders saw that this young lady stepped up and we got her name and talked her through some of her situation and encouraged her. She was a ROCKSTAR and the whole restaurant would have shut down that evening had she not kept it together. She needs recognized for her efforts and I hope she knows how she held that place together on Dec 26, 2018. I will be reaching out to her company so that they know she is a keeper and should treat her well. She sure had all right to walk away that night but she cared and stuck it out. I came into the restaurant Wednesday and YOUR “general manager” completely lost her mind. There was a polite lady ahead of me and when I say polite, she was extremely polite. She was talking to the cashier about her $2 refund. The cashier “general manager” was so rude and disrespectful to the lady that was asking about her refund. The lady who was asking about her refund went to sit down and made a comment and said “where’s the manager”.
The cashier overheard the customer ask about the manager and she turned around and said “I’M THE GENERAL MANAGER”. She was clapping her hands at the lady and told her to never come back. Keep in mind, the lady she was yelling at was very polite and respectful. The way she was talking to this older lady broke my heart. Just imagine your mom being verbally attacked by the general manager, at her favorite pizza place. As of Wednesday, May 17th, I will no longer support THIS Blaze Pizza. As a “general manager” she needs to be ashamed of herself.
Her behavior was DISGUSTING and she needs more training because that did not sit right with me. To top it off! Before the “general manager” walked off to the back, she called the lady a “fucking bitch” under her breath, and if I heard her, I’m pretty sure the young lady behind the counter overheard her too. I’m 100% sure the lady she publicly embarrassed was old enough to be her mom.
Please do something about her, because I’m sure you all will lose more business in the future, under the sickening leadership of her. I will return once she’s gone. Until then, I will be at the West Boca location, where the customer service is superb.
