A really cool looking interior to walk into. Not the look of your "normal" barbecue restaurant. This restaurant fronts in a strip center. You walk into a room with a brick wall and wooden floor. The restaurant is not real large, with 2 seating areas separated from back to almost the extreme front by a working area with 2 sides, back to almost the front window, and splitting the space into 2 seating areas or "rooms". You can see all preparation and kitchen activity from most anywhere in the restaurant. Between the long kitchen area, which is rather narrow and its end in front, there is a pathway leaving room for customers to go to one seating area or the other and is where you pay your bill for eat in or pick up. You actually can see the grilling with its flames, prep, packaging for pick ups, phone receiving orders, etc., in the middle of the restaurant which separates the restaurant into its 2 dining areas in addition to all prep. In summation this is a well thought out designed interior, taking advantage of all space intelligently. I went on a Saturday night, but probably would not do that again as the restaurant was packed with every table taken and people waiting to be seated both at the front and outside. The same is true for people coming for carry outs. Fortunately there is also seating in outside, in the front. The crew from waitstaff to food grilling, prep, packaging, phone orders, receiving payment were all busy for sure. Perhaps a bit too busy. I came for carry out and was given an approximate time for pick up, but we waited 30 minutes beyond that. The very busy night and relatively small restaurant were probably the reason our grilled chicken was over done, not moist a bit and rather difficult to chew. You get 2 sides with a meal, but they are in what looks like a somewhat oversized ketchup cup. This was disappointing. The staff I dealt with was very nice and when asked to double check our packaged order will our bill, They were happy to do it. Unfortunately upon opening the order we found 2 whole chickens ordered, came as half chickens I mark this up teo th restaurant just being too busy. More size would have helped, but it is what is. I will go back again, but on a week night and I...

2399 N Federal HWY Boca Raton 33431 We had gone to this small but wonderful restaurant a number of years ago with a relative who lives close by Since they do not take reservations and it’s a small restaurant where everything is cooked as ordered; IT was a long wait for a table However the memory of the Fantastic ribs, the BBQ chicken and the chicken wings made me decide to try it again although I must pass a half dozen BBQ chicken and rib places along the way. Well IT either was our luck or they may have had a super bowl game on somewhere because we had no wait for a table of four ( I am in a wheelchair At 6 p m and there was no problem) The main problem is every smells so good that what to eat was my problem if you come here diet for at least one day the portions are large as well as delicious. . I ordered a dinner side salad (4.29) which was too much for 2 people They also had a Biloxi Blue salad ( 9.99) Which is enough for 6 normal people. I ordered the Dixie chicken wing s A half portion was large enough for a doggie bag. MY fiancé ordered the BBQ chicken and ribs ($18) I cannot wait till tomorrow because she left me tomorrows diner The only error we made was ordering the Sweet potatoes fries They are potatoes chips albeit made from Sweet potatoes The mac and cheese would be my better choice: the baby back ribs are delicious with the meat falling off There are two BBQ sauces on the table I like the yellow one. There are sandwich choices which we did not make the deserts looked well but we were full if you want to try deserts I suggest that you share a main meal and then order desert IT is worth a trip to eat here I...
Read moreWe figured this restaurant couldn't be that bad because of the 150+ positive reviews. Boy were we wrong. I'm not sure where the other reviewers ate, but there's no way it was here. It should've been obvious the food wouldn't be good when we opened the door and couldn't smell any barbecue. We got the beef and pork platter as well as their ribs and wings. The beef was shredded, drenched in a sauce most reminiscent of Spaghettios, and tasted like week old microwaved leftovers. The pork was dry and flavorless. Each rib was smaller than the length of my index finger, and tasted about the same. The wings were decent, despite them putting the wrong sauce. The side of mac and cheese consisted of an ice cream scoops worth of noodles, and the cornbread obviously wasn't fresh. I'm not sure if it's because we came on a Sunday and they were strapped for time, or if it's because we've had good BBQ, but what we got today was absolutely vile. We barely touched anything on our plates, and didn't bother taking leftovers, as we wouldn't feed that to even a dog. We saw another group come in after us and I considered warning them to turn back before it was too late. Based on their reviews, either nobody in Boca has any idea what good BBQ is, or, more likely, the vast majority of these reviews are fake. Either way, absolutely disgusting food. I can't recommend that anybody wastes...
