My wife and I ate breakfast here on a busy Sunday, and we ordered 4 items, hot chocolate, decaf coffee, French toast and classic eggs Benedict. The drinks arrived quickly, however, my decaf was not distinguishable from hot water and the hot chocolate was made from a powder mix and hot water, not milk and chocolate, thus it had little chocolate flavor and tasted like sugar water. I requested a regular coffee hoping that it would have some flavor, but they brought me a fresh brewed decaf instead as they were trying to correct for the watery brew they had first served. It was marginally better, but still lacked coffee flavor. The food arrived and the French toast was fine. The poached eggs in the eggs Benedict were closer to hard boiled than poached. I sent them back. The staff scraped the potatoes off the plate and served them to me with a side of ketchup. I guess I was supposed to eat them while waiting for the eggs to appear. I use the yolks as a sauce for the potatoes, so I knew this would not work. By the time my eggs Benedict arrived the spuds were ice cold, as it took far too long to re-fire the poached eggs. The wait staff deposited my meal and left before I could even ask for hot potatoes. I ate quickly, while the eggs Benedict were still warm and properly poached. When I was on my last bite, the waiter noticed that I did not touch the spuds. She offered to bring a fresh serving of hot potatoes. I explained that I needed the runny yolks, not ketchup, for the spuds and the ones on the table were too cold, and the eggs were now eaten, so it would be pointless to serve a new dish. I told the manager everything in this review. She offered to comp me for my eggs and said, correctly, that too many things went wrong with our meal. I refused the offer, (I have worked in a restaurant and I know how important real time feedback is for the kitchen and waitstaff) as I am not interested in a free meal, just a properly prepared one. Read moreHorrible service, indifferent staff, dirty restaurant, and a waste of a Saturday morning with my family. They don’t even look at the reservations. Checked in online 20 minutes prior to arriving - checked in at the host station when arrived - received text informing me I would be notified when the table was ready - stood outside by the door for 40 minutes awaiting my table - finally noticed the hostess was calling people from the list and was not using the text system - I inquired with the hostess if they were using the system and she said yes but they were calling people (it was obvious they were not using the text system) then was asked for my name - I provided my name and she said she had called for us 20 minutes prior which was not possible as we were standing beside the door the entire time. She then said they would have us up next. I politely stood directly by the host stand as the front desk staff seated 3 other parties. I then inquired again and was asked for my name again from the same hostess that just confirmed we would be seated. After an hour and a half of our time was wasted we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Staying would have been sunk time and cost. Tables were dirty. People could not locate their waitstaff. The front of house could have cared less. It is shocking that the location was so busy as poorly run as it is, but wasting peoples time and providing bad memories for families will catch up with...
Read moreBeen coming here for years on a regular basis. Always a pleasant experience until today when I placed an online order and the manager proved to be unhelpful and made for a negative experience.
Placed order for pick up directly through first watch app. Email confirmation said order would be ready at 11:41am. Arrived at restaurant at 12pm and still not ready. Asked manager and he said he check on it. He never did. He took care of other customers while I waited. Finally he said they don’t have the order never received it. I showed him my email again, then he looked in the system and saw the order was indeed received at 11:30am and he doesn’t know why they didn’t make it. He said they’d remake the order. I asked how long as I was in a rush to get to a business meeting (which is why I placed my order well in advance) and he responded only a few minutes. I waited ANOTHER 20 MINUTES and watched 3 other orders come out while I waited. I was now late to my meeting since they did not process my order and because they misjudged the time to make a new order. The manager was unapologetic. I asked if I should place the order through another service next time since they didn’t process their own order made through their own site. He just shrugged. No apology. No compensation.
