MO&MA - Cookies and Pies — Restaurant in Boca Raton

I'd rate 10 stars if I could!!! This little shop is an absolute treasure, run by some of the sweetest people in the world. Amidst COVID-19 madness, I searched everywhere in the Boca Raton area for a bakery to help me deliver a special custom cake within 24 hrs for my grandmother's 84th birthday. Every other store gave me a hassle (i.e. issues with customizing, exorbitant delivery costs & rush fees, not enough notice, etc.). When Gabby answered my call, she was a breath of fresh air. Every answer was "Yes - no problem!" It was SO easy. She worked with me to make my grandma's dream cake come to life, and she got every single detail right. The price was very reasonable too, and it was completely customized from top to bottom: 8" cake, dark chocolate base, dark chocolate whipped cream filling mixed with chocolate chips and fresh raspberries, topped with dark chocolate covered raspberries and a custom design/bday message. Gabby happily agreed to text me a picture of the cake when it was finished and also to include a handwritten card. Just when I thought she'd already gone above and beyond, Gabby hand-delivered the cake to my grandma, who was smiling ear to ear upon its arrival. I know this because Gabby snapped a picture of her reaction and texted it to me. Now THAT'S dedication! Sure put a smile on my face. What a sweet gesture of love and compassion during these tough times. For this I am extremely grateful. On top of it all... apparently this Mo&Ma cake was the most delicious and perfectly baked cake my grandma has ever tasted (she promised to save me a piece for next time I come visit - thank gosh). I simply can't say enough about Gabby or this...

Baffled! No other word for it. Called on Friday for a GLUTEN FREE key lime pie for pick up Sunday afternoon. Gave credit card over the phone to secure my order. Showed up at time of requested pickup and only employee seen went into the back to “find” my order and was gone for a couple of minutes. She then came out and around the counter and pulled a keylime pie out of the display case and took it to the back to box it. However, when she returned with the pie boxed she could not guarantee that it was gluten free. I’m happy she was honest because this could have turned into a nightmare if my mom ate the pie. My mother is highly allergic which is why I called in advance to order as I understand this type of pie is not a traditional order. I planned to pick up other desserts for those celebrating that were not gluten free but quickly decided Mo&Ma did not deserve any of my business. I could not be more disappointed as this was a birthday pie…. I quickly called the Delray location and the girl on the other end (tried so hard to rectify the situation) tried to help me but everything available was chocolate and that was not an option for us as my mom is also allergic to cocoa. Never again will I attempt to order from this...

I was so touched by the care and accommodation from this family-owned bakery! I needed a gender reveal cake with shorter notice and had already contacted several local bakeries in the area but they were either unresponsive or not available. A coworker of mine recommended MO&MA, saying that their delicious cookies and treats helped get her through the pandemic. When I called the bakery the week before the event, I was thrilled to hear they could make a custom cake for us! I stopped by and easily placed the order Tuesday for a Saturday pickup. Marty in the shop was amazing- I shared we all wanted to be surprised so he opened the card in another room away from me so that he could add the gender to the order form after I left. I was able to email a general picture idea for the baker and the cake that I picked up on Saturday was packaged beautifully and beyond what I asked for or expected! The cake was so delicious- better than the other bakeries we had first contacted. Thank you for making this day so special for our family- we have found...
