We live in Miami and we always order from shah of kabobs original location in sunset south Miami since Their inception at least once per week we always order the family dinners thru web site and pick it up we always praise the food and service and recommend them to everyone so this weekend we were visiting some friends in Boca area and noticed their new location in Boca so we suggested it to order dinner from Boca location So as usual I placed an online order for family dinner to pick up at 745pm so once we got there we notice the food was not ready and we had to want about 10/15 min longer which it was ok since was dinner rush and they were little busy i understood When I was placing order on line under special instructions “I ask for kabobs to be medium cook and juicy not well done “ plus with 2 added kabobs so finally the order was ready and i could not wait to go home and share the food with our friends , when we got there I immediately noticed their new location kabobs look skinner the the one we are used to in Miami and all of them were cooked well done on dry side also the container with rice was also skimpier almost half empty than usual ones we are used to , and I have also heard that from other Persian customers that the kabobs are not as big and juicy in the other locations than original which it shouldn’t be because we were told the recipes and sizes should not differ from the original location sad to say we we were little...
Read moreMy family and I have been loyal customers for years, often visiting your Miami location weekly. We were thrilled to hear about your new branches in Fort Lauderdale and Boca — finally, we wouldn’t have to make the long drive to Miami just to enjoy our favorite kebab.
However, I’m disappointed to share that our recent experience at the Boca location may have been our last. As shown in the attached image, I found a piece of bone / cartilage inside the koobideh kebab I was served. This was extremely concerning, especially as a parent — I kept thinking what could have happened if my toddler had taken that bite. I had ordered koobideh soltani and didn’t eat more after tasting cartilage.
I brought it to the attention of the woman at the front desk, not to complain or ask for a refund, but simply to raise awareness. My intention was to help prevent a potential danger, especially since many of your customers are families with young children. Unfortunately, her reaction was disappointing. She briefly showed the bone to the kitchen and responded, “I told them,” without even acknowledging the seriousness of the issue or offering a basic apology.
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it encourages better quality control and customer service moving forward. We’ve always loved Shah of Kabab and would love to continue supporting you — but food safety should never...
Read moreDisappointed, not good.
Sorry to be critical but hope that this helps the restaurant to improve.
My first time, got a takeout of the mixed tenderloin and ground kebob and the chicken kabob both with rice.
No flavor, on rice or any of the meat (remember salt, butter, etc.)? Meat not fresh, probably cooked in semi frozen state, too chewy for even thawed meat, rice generic.
Too bad, flushed $50 bucks but worth the lesson — do not approach. Not hard to guess where it ended up.
Real Persian food isnt close to this — and if youre from New York or LA, or few other places including Palm Beach you have tears in your eyes.
BTW the separate sauces are not supposed to make the food flavorful, theyre supposed to “enhance” or add to whats there already! But theres not much there.
Imagine if italian restaurants would give you different sauces to add to your pasta and your bland tomato sauce: “food doesnt have flavor, just go ahead and add your marinara, or bolognese , or clam or whatever sauce from these buckets”. We would close every Italian restaurant in the country.
At least, you have to get the rice right, we can get the meat at Publix and season it, for much less 🙂
Did see a good assortment of deserts but didnt go there for the baklava...
