The Brazilian pastries are great. I tried a variety of croquettes/ coxhina. However, the paninis my bf and I got were incredibly disappointing. They were served on pita, despite the bakery having a variety of great rolls and breads that would hold up much better to the pressing. My prosciutto panini was so wet from the heating of the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto that I had to dab it with napkins just to be able to hold it, and the wetness liquified the balsamic glaze and it all leaked out of the sandwich. It was also supposed to come with ranch which I requested be omitted (because who puts ranch on a prosciutto and mozzarella panini?) And I can't imagine how much more wet it would be with the ranch on it. My bf got a chicken panini which he was expecting to have ranch on it, but it had no dressing at all. It was dry and bland he said. So I would say if you go here get pastries or maybe breakfast items and avoid the panini menu. The pastries were good enough that I will probably go back for more. The mini cheese croquettes were my favorite. Good, fast service, and an open kitchen which adds...
Read moreHorrible service, dry bake goods, terrible coffee, and no attention to details in this small Boca bakery. The baked cooks did not look appetizing. My husband ordered a croissant with light butter. You should have seen the butter that looked like lard. My husband had to scrap it off. If you do not mind weak coffee, loud people and no AC, you will not be disappointed. I think it is Brazilian owned. The employees were not in tune to a diverse population other than theirs. The people who worked there had blank gazes when you ordered. I felt like I was in a scene from One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest. We left when the eggs that were supposed to come out quickly were taken to the wrong table. They forgot our order and you could see the look of consternation as the "manager/cook/cashier" looked into the room with the tables to look for the eggs. My husband was not feeling well and what he had been served was mediocre at best. It was a 110 degrees with screaming babies and loud adults. If you are not Brazilian, you will be out of your element. The coffee was terrible. We should have just...
Read moreSeabra is well known within the Brazilian community, but the bakery offers a mix of Portugueses and Brazilian classics like Coxinha, Bolinhos, pastel de nata e pão português. The savory items are better then the sweets, in my opinion. The coxinha is good but not my favorite item at Seabra, instead try the “bolinho de carne e aipim” - “yuca meat croquete” or the “pão de queijo” - “cheese bread”. The pastel de Nata (not sure how to translate it) is light, and not too sweet, it hits the spot for me. I’ve tried a couple of their cakes and have to say it’s just not your typical Brazilian cake. The batter is dry; the filling taste industrial and there is no art to it, a real shame because I’ve had delicious cake from their sister bakery in Parkland. Just to comment on the service, mentioned in other reviews, I would have to agree, it is a bit slow. I do t think there is a lead or shift manager organize the flow, but I wouldn’t say it’s such a big deal for me and the experience I have when I...
