Been 2 times, really wanted this place to be good because of the great location but it sadly doesnāt get it done. Their āeverything bagelā Should be called a ābarely anything bagelā
1st visit: Line out the door, to be expected, it had JUST opened. About a 30 minute wait to get to be able to order but hey thereās a lot of hype, no problem. Ordered, stepped to the side and waited for about 40 minutes. Finally went up and asked what the delay was on my order and the guy grabs a bag off the counter and tells me āoh itās been ready for about 35 minutes.ā Asked him why it wasnāt called out or handed to me and he just said he didnāt know.
At that point it was a lukewarm bagel, soggy bacon and they served me a PLAIN bagel when i ordered an everything bagel. Left feeling pretty dissatisfied and ripped off.
Visit#2: Decided to try ordering ahead. Sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel with a large cold brew.
Well the everything bagel ONLY has sesame and poppyseed on it. Iāve been ordering from Makebās deli in west palm beach for the last 20 years and the everything bagel as I understand it is meant to have 1)Garlic 2)Salt 3) Onion 4) Sesame 5) poppyseed. H&H has ONLY sesame and poppyseed and about 3-4 little onion flakes per bagel. Itās crazy. I walked up and inspected the rest of the āeverythingā bagels on display and confirmed they donāt have anything on them.
Worth noting* the sausage egg and cheese tastes absolutely incredible. They have two thin cut sausage patties and i ordered a fried egg⦠itās actually extremely good and the only reason I went with a 2 star review instead of 1 star.
With that said, youāll leave this place feeling like you got terrible quality food for the price you paid. For starters the cold brew is 8.50 FOR 24oz. LOL. So for a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel and large cold brew itās over $20 and more like $25 if you just click through the default tip like I did.
Youāll feel ripped off and disappointed in the quality when you go here. No chance this place survives in west palm beach compared to current delis and bagel...

I see there's been some response from h&h bagels to recent reviews. Hopefully they're paying attention now. It's too early for me to attempt another visit. I think I'll wait and see if there's more positive than negative going forward
Based on attitude and lack of appropriate greeting I'm not sure if I'd try again, especially after reading the other reviews on service. They are supposed to be open until 4pm. Arrived at 3:10 only to find the door locked with people inside. At first I was ignored but then saw someone behind the counter motioning with his hand across his throat apparently trying to tell me they were closed. No sigh in the door or personal greeting with an explanation. I went back to my car and while talking with my wife watched several other customers attempt to enter and be similarly dismissed and they walked away confused and upset one saying they drove 30 minutes to get there. Another customer approached the door and managed to get a staff members attention. He opened the door and said they were all out of food. She said she only wanted bagels and since they had them they let her in. That's what I was there for as well so I went in only to be greeted with dirty looks and mumbled comments. They ended up not having the bagel that I wanted and had I been treated like a valued customer I'd have bought others but there was no way I was going to give them my business after the experience I had. It's a service business and they failed at every opportunity to build loyalty. Other reviews have commented about similar lack of service and the local community not supporting them. While I was waiting for the sandwich to be made, I had a seat and started scrolling through my emails. I noticed that quite a few people had ordered after me and were starting to get their bagel so I walked up to the cashier and asked about the sandwich. She responded with the most incredibly genuine, āIām so sorry itās taken this long. Let me checkā. She went over talk to the person making the bagels and he looked at me and said āoh my gosh Iām so sorry itās taking this long. Iāll make that right nowā. I replied āno problem, itās not a big dealā and sat down and begin to wait again. Then the manager came out of the back and said āI am so sorry that it is taking so long to make your bagel. I will buy your bagel today, to which I replied, thank you so much but thatās not necessary. Iāve only been waiting a couple minutesā, but he insisted. So then the person who made my bagel came out from from behind the counter and handed me the bag with my bagel, again, profusely apologized, and included a free chocolate muffin with my bagel. This was completely over the top wonderful customer service in a world where we rarely see minimal levels of customer service.
