Walked in the front door of the lobby of the hotel, which looks fabulous. Three people behind the desk never even said hello. Good evening whatever. Went to the outside bar to meet a friend. 11/14/22- Waited for the two bartenders to acknowledges us. We all ordered a couple of drinks I ordered the edamame hummus which came with non-bread a couple of. I believe they were English cucumbers. It looked delicious . I also had a chicken grilled chicken sandwich was nice the bread. Hubby ordered the fish dip , our friend order the basic burger w/ FF. 1/13/2025- we sat our selfs. Waitress brought over our menus . Plus 2 glasses of water. We ordered drinks first I asked for a drink that needed to be in a sniffer. They do not have sniffers so they put my 4 ounce liquor in a small champagne glass. A little disappointing. We shared the hummus, which was nice. Had a whole chickpeas in it as well the vegetables that came with it OK .Only problem is all the Nan bread was dipped into the hummus itself so who doesn’t like hummus couldn’t eat the bread unless they cut it off. I’m sorry I did didn’t get our waitress’s name because she was patient, professional, and very sweet.
The only problem was, it wasn’t busy at the bar. At 4:30pm . Hard to get attention of the two bartenders, who seemed to talk to each other and the servers, ignoring the bar. In my opinion the food was good. Runner was pleasant. The grounds are...
Read moreWe were a party of 7 for New Year's Eve dinner. Overall, our meal was adequate at best and definitely overpriced. Drinks were awful. Cosmopolitans were sent back as they were undrinkable. (Actually the waitress poured them out in the foliage next to our table) The raspberry lemonade tasted like water and the raspberry margarita was no better. Opted for bottled beer instead which wasn't cold. We found the menu to be limited - were looking forward to the Mahi Mahi that was previously on the menu. Most of our party ordered burgers or the chicken sandwich which were fine but nothing special. The salmon entree special and the chicken paillard, while very tasty, were overpriced for the portions. The highlight was the giant chocolate cake which was in fact, giant. The service started out great, but the waitress said she was leaving for the night and "transferred" our table to another waitress who couldn't get us out fast enough. The first waitress did not leave - she was cleaning off tables and hanging around pretty much until we left. We had enjoyed eating at the Sea Spray for many years (or whatever the name of the restaurant at the Waterstone may have been previously) but will not be back due to the menu changes. disappointing service, and lack of value...
Read moreCame here a few months ago with friends. We had made a reservation, got there, and no available seating. Took awhile for anyone to even greet us. One man saw us but looked annoyed and didn’t bother greeting. Finally, they offered us a table INSIDE even though we had requested outside for 3 people. Inside, there was nobody. Bar was closed. They sat us at a small, DIRTY table. We waited close to 15-20 min for someone to come and clean our table and take our order. It took so long that I went up to the host stand outside to complain. A woman (not sure if one of the managers?) saw I looked upset and quickly asked what was wrong and I told her. She honestly looked embarrassed and then flagged down someone to go over to clean our table. They took forever to then take our orders, and receive them. When we finally did eat, we were battling flies. It was an awful experience. I ordered the salmon. It wasn’t even hot! And later made me feel sick (my friend too, as she had tasted some of my salmon). The other food was subpar, no flavor and lacking in salt. Everything overpriced. Only thing good were the Brussel sprouts, and our drinks. Will never return though....
