If I could give this place a negative rating would. My husband went there tonight looking for cigar to come home relax and smoke. He went to this place knowing that they had a membership but was thinking maybe you can just buy cigars and not use the lounge but was interested in what this place was about. he drives up to this place. There’s two gentlemen outside, fixing some light fixtures. He asked them if he would be able to buy cigar there. They proceeded to look him up and down like he’s dirt and give him a pop quiz on his cigar knowledge. It wasn’t like they were just asking what he’s looking for or trying to be helpful. They were asking him questions trying to figure out if he knew anything about cigars. Why does it matter? He’s coming to spend his money here. So my husband appeased them with his answers, and they finally let him into the lounge to look at the cigar selection and they gave him a sales pitch for their membership which he was interested in until he got there and felt so unwelcome and judged. How do you plan recruiting members like that? If someone comes along with no cigar knowledge or maybe they look like they wouldn’t be able to afford your $1,000 membership. Are you going to give them judgmental stares and quiz them? Maybe be more welcoming to the next person you might think can’t afford to be part of your...
Read moreWhat a gem! We love The Oak. Mike and the crew are just amazing. We are big fans of Diego and Troy- these guys go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and known. We are always greeted with our favorite cocktails (how do they know?!?!) and the atmosphere is perfection. The deck with the oak tree growing through it and jazz music playing on Thursday nights is magical. The bartenders will make you any drink you can think of and now they have a barber on site a few days a week. But wait, there’s more- they have special events that are so unique- we met a vintner from California at a special wine pairing event and we were blown away at the quality and the passion. We feel like family at The Oak and highly recommend this...
Read moreWe were charged extra for a block of ice in our drink. The bartender offered it to us since they didn't freeze any of their tequila, but didn't tell us it would be extra. Disappointing to find out later. Then my account was charged $50 when my actual expense was less than $20. I called and left a message to explain what was going on. It was later corrected, but was it suppose to be a joke on me for complaining about charging extra for ice? Other than that, it is a nice place to sit and enjoy music on the patio or a cigar if you...
