Read moreI was feeling very under the weather and wanted something that’ll give me a boost. I’ve always wanted to try ramen in the suburbs because I’ve lived in the city for most of my adult life and Bolingbrook FINALLY has gotten on board with diversity.
I was greeted by a younger guy and he helped me put together a nice ramen bowl since I don’t eat pork. I ordered the Kim & Fried Chicken Ramen and substituted it with the vegetable stock. It was so flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The Kimchi had a nice spicy kick to it. Portion size was definitely enough for two people to share! I also got the shrimp dumplings and they were mini and sorta bland, wouldn’t get it again. However, the sauce it came with was really good so it made up for the blandness when dipped in sauce.
I ordered to-go but once I saw how nice the inside was, I regretted not dining in! It’s so pretty and bright and clean inside and they offer a water stand with cups so you can self serve.
When my order was ready the nice girl gave me a free Milk Tea and it was actually my favorite flavor. I appreciate her for that, she was adorbs. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I think my total was around $24? Good prices for the quality...
Read moreThis place has that classic ramen spot vibe — lots of wood paneling, deep browns and greens, and some cozy booth seating mixed with regular tables and chairs. The lighting’s warm and pretty inviting, giving the whole place a chill, laid-back feel.
Service was decent — nothing super memorable, but friendly enough and everything came out in a reasonable time.
We tried the Mongolian Bowl and the General Tso’s Chicken. Both had a nice kick of spice and were surprisingly flavorful. Definitely a good hit if you’re craving something bold and saucy.
One of the more unique touches: each table has a sketchbook where you can doodle or check out what others have drawn — super fun and gives the place some personality. And if you’re into anime, you’re in luck. Posters line the walls and there’s anime playing on the TVs, which adds to the quirky, playful vibe.
Cool little spot overall. Not mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable, especially if you’re into anime or just want a casual meal in a...
