Horrible horrible customer service at this location from the manager, Jessie (or Glendy as I believe she gave me the wrong name). My doordash order was made incorrectly (had avocados and was missing tortilla strips), so I called to inform them of the issue. The guy on the phone asked me to come to the store to pick up the correct salad. I arrived at this location and was then told by the manager and employee that I needed to bring the salad back in order to exchange it for the correct salad because they needed concrete proof that it was the wrong order (although this was confirmed over the phone). This wouldn’t have been an issue had they told me on the phone to bring the salad back, but they didn’t. I WAS THEN TOLD BY THE MANAGER THAT SHE WOULD NEED TO CHECK THE CAMERAS TO PROVE THAT AVOCADO WAS PUT IN THE SALAD. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. After Jessie/Glendy checked the cameras, she said she didn’t find any proof that the salad was made with avocados, but that she would give me the salad anyway. I already had someone bringing the salad up to the store. Unlucky for her, I was able to prove that my salad was made incorrectly with avocados and no tortilla strips. She offered no apology or explanation for the mistake, other than the employees are new. She even argued with me about including house dressing that I paid for. She said it wasn’t on my receipt when in fact it was. I have never been so humiliated by a manager in my life. In her effort to try to be self-righteous, she lost a lifelong customer. I will share my experience with everyone I know and discourage them from patronizing this location until Jessie’s/Glendy’s unprofessionalism is properly addressed.
Oh, I was also promised a free dessert for the inconvenience over the phone and was not offered anything by the manager upon arrival. She was so busy trying to argue with me and be right that she missed out on every opportunity to...
Read moreToday I will just confirm the reason why I stop visiting this Chicken Fiesta store. After a failed attempt to get my order placed and the lack of good customer service. I decided to place my order in a different way . My order was placed. Then when I do arrive and pick up the order , whatever was inside the bag was in a whole mess (staff on counter have to put everything inside nice and neat and in order) , I did start to check if everything was inside but because of the mess I didn’t checked if the bag of fries had fries. When I do arrive home to give the fries to my kids guess what? No fries were there , instead they put yuca. I did call to inform the mistake done, she did ask me if I want to come back for the fries in which is a bad idea. Then she started to explain why they put yuca they put only on bag but I did ask for French fries and I was expecting 2 bags. Then this lady on counter (cashier) starts to tell me about a policy about us as clients to checked the food (which I did) but I told her that she get paid to see serve and serve properly and they should checked everything. At the end this is the 3 rd time happens; one with the manager or Supervisor , second with a staff member and today with the lady in the cashier. Please don’t blame the client or use cheap excuses like the policy excuse. Get trained properly on customer service and please have more effective and efficient staff. You don’t deserve...
Read moreUpdated: still the best deal in RVA! Consistently good food and great service. Try the Pina Colada.
Chicken Fiesta has good food, friendly service, and nice salsa music playing on speakers. The restaurant has counter service and a busy environment. The menu has a mix of Peruvian and Mexican dishes, offering a freshly cooked and nicely seasoned Peruvian chicken combo with standard yuca, rice/beans, salad, or coleslaw side. The 1/4 chicken is about 7 dollars and the portion of sides is on the smaller side from other Peruvian chicken restaurants, but the food is tasty and worth a stop. The yuca is not cut and fried (with the natural firm texture), but seems to be mashed with a crispy outer coating. The fries looked darker than most steak fries, but were flavored from the chicken spices and added a nice complement to the chicken. The coleslaw was individually packaged but tasted fresh and had a crunchy style with a hint of horseradish. Both the Horchata and Flan had delicious flavors of cinnamon and other spices that hit your taste-buds. Let them know if you don't want ice when ordering the Horchata. The Flan also had a nice crispy shell and seemed to be fresh. Yuri Buenaventura was playing as we entered, and we realized why it was called Chicken Fiesta, good food...
