So, I'm giving this Waffle House one star because of one person... everybody else was great... the food was okay, but they were very busy... it was Father's Day. I came in to pick up food for my crew. The lady who took my order was great. I had sat down at the high-top counter, one of the staff members asked me how I was today, I told him I was blessed, and his response was and highly favored." I then a couple came in and I gave my seat to them. I went and stood in the corner waiting for my food talking to everyone else who was waiting. Then I heard a waitress tell them to pull two and a half bacon and one sausage. A response was yelled we are "running low or out". At that time, I looked up...and the staff member who asked me how I was today, very loudly stated, "That's all right we've already got a "Pig" in the house" then looked directly at me. A hush fell over the whole place and a few people said whoa... my response was, "Really?" He then stated, "Come on man you're going to hear all kinds of things... at that time I responded, "Yeah, and after 24 years in law enforcement, and being in the Marine Corps, I don't have thin skin, but I didn't think I would hear them from you after our conversation earlier." He walked over to the opposite corner to wipe off tables, and He then asked me was at Richmond or Chesterfield... I told him I was Federal as I was shaking my head... he just kept on saying some things, I think he was trying to joke, but at that point, the damage had been done. Shortly after the waitress said my food was up. She was absolutely great, I tipped her very well for everything she had done cuz she was making sure the order was correct. A couple of people apologized to me, my response was it wasn't their fault but thank you. As I was leaving other people were talking to him, and he continued to try to joke, I tried to play it off but it kept weighing heavy on me. I didn't get the staff member's name, he is African-American, seemed to be about my age early fifties, very neat appearance... needless to say, I'll never be back....on...

I waited around for chesterfield police because Im.not a criminal or guilty and did nothing wrong going forward I will not be spending any more of my hard earned money at this establishment until both workers are reprimanded and I am given a apology to call the police on a black man because your not doing your job is disgusting and waffle house should be ashamed thankfully chesterfield police handled the situation with professionalism and discretion because based on the false report made by waffle house workers and the manner in which the police pulled into the parking lot it could have ended sadly for me I could have been shot and killed for picking up a order I already paid for I almost died because workers rather smoke weed on the clock rather than treat customers with respect and care shame on you...

The service? Lightning Fast! The teamwork? Astonishing! But it's more than that. The team here... They just WORK... they click. They mesh together as a team.
