Bonita Beach Tavern

We’ve been a couple of times, it’s a nice local bar with reasonably priced beers. Met some nice people. First time the bartender was very nice, she seemed a bit tipsy but nice. Next time, you get female bartender told us it was now cash only and she was cleaning up the bar. I asked when she closed and she said soon, it was 11:45 pm on Saturday night and there were 10-15 people in there. When I asked why the time on Google said 2 am close, she said that “ don’t believe what you read on the internet.” She turned her back and never came by again to ask if we wanted another beer so we left. I’m a musician that contacted this venue playing their after I lost most of my gigs because of IAN. The owner seemed nice when he contacted me about playing. We agreed I’d play November 19 /22. He made a nice ad and put it on Facebook and called me before the gig. He said they had a dining area on the patio. Honestly I thought it was a nice middle class bar and grill. When I arrived I was stunned by what I saw . Very run down, no dining, dive bar. Probably great people but not what I visioned. Just not the venue for the music I offer. Murphy’s bar is a wonderful place— like others have said, it’s like “Cheers” — everybody knows your name, and the regulars are just like family to each other. You can tell they genuinely care for each other. I was around daily about a week, and felt right at home. Service is great! friendly atmosphere but there is no food except snacks (chips). Also no karaoke either…. Not for a long time. Thanks Callie and Marc(us) — and everyone else who made my visit fantastic! ...
