Taco Mix — Restaurant in Bonita Springs

We have frequented Taco Mix for years and turned many people onto the place. The food is good but not good enough to for me to return after we had a TERRIBLE customer experience there. They messed up the order and overcharged us, according to the menu posted in the restaurant that did not match the price in their computer - that was, somehow, my fault. I ordered a large, they gave a small and asked them to change it - nope, and I was even willing to pay. I ordered black beans (it even said so on the reciept) and was given refried and was met with much resistance when I asked for them to change it, which they ended up doing. THE BEST PART - I was told by the older woman that works the register to "never again return to Taco Mix" because they "do not need customer that complains". If you don't want me to complain, GET MY ORDER CORRECT. No apologies, no "we can take care of that but please be patient as we are busy", and one of the workers in the back said "geeze lady, relax!" and I was not being combative in the slightest, I just wanted what I ordered. What ever happened to THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT?! There are plenty of restaurants with owners and employees that understand customer service and have great food that I would gladly choose to spend my hard...

Wow can I say you guys make the best fish sandwiches in the area!

I’m really impressed with the quality of food they are making. From flavors to freshness and not to mention prices it’s awesome. I ordered fish sandwich, side of rice and beans plus egg and cheese taco and butter bread my total was $20! honestly if you are on a budget and your ordering for your kids who are picky as hell this place is a win! my kid ate the entire fish sandwich and he LOVED it. I ended up ordering another one for myself.

They also have $2 taco Tuesday! Order any taco and pay only $2 for fresh flavorful taco.

Their staff is just amazing wonderful people. I think it’s owned and run by a family whatever it is you can tell they are good people making great food! It’s not a fancy place but it’s clean. I highly recommend this place. Go here if you are in the area.

I visit this place once a year around February and it has never disappointed. Taco mix is an old school family run business. The service couldn't be better, the people running this place are welcoming and warm. Clearly they take pride in their business and deservedly so. The atmosphere is vintage taqueria, from the low front counter to the large works by Jim Madsen adorning the dining room. The related convenience store in the same lot even carries hand rolled cigars. As for food I've tried quite a few items from the menu, all delicious and with a classically Cuban leaning. The platters offer a great value, and the flavor is fantastic. My favorite is the tamale, served with beans and rice. There are a few taquerias to choose from in and around Bonita beach, and they all seem to be pretty good, but you won't do better than Taco Mix. If Love is a secret ingredient, then they've let...
