Love! This place is amazing. I'm so glad we have some amazing food like this in Bonita. Literally the Reuben is to die for... Wedge salad was really good. Service was excellent as well. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends and family.
Edit:: okay this place used to be amazing. Two nights ago we were there same girl and guy as always Tyler and some blonde. We can't remember her name she's never really nice to us if you end up sitting in her section although she does barely seem to pull it off. She sucks up to you in the end by bringing you a card that's gives away free sandwiches that she marks almost halfway full every time we come in. If you need something your SOL until they decide on their time it's time to come check on you. This is after coming in at least three or four shifts on each of them. The food's usually amazing 85% of the time... I won't take off any stars for that That's pretty much most restaurants in general. Just a sad thing we held them up to a high standard when they started and now you can only get service on their terms. Drinks are inconsistent, constantly tasting different and so is some of The menu items sometimes for better sometimes for worse. This is one of our favorite places in Bonita We like to see it make a turnaround. There's no excuses now in the middle of August when it's slow that we should have exceptional service, instead of Tyler and the blonde waiting on us we are actually waiting on them to come and check on our drinks or to come bring us our checks or for the love of the restaurant gods come refill our water it's 110 heat index ATM and there's only four people sitting at...
Read moreIf the Reuben hadn’t been good, we would never have stayed long enough for dessert. The kitchen seems to have its act together but the front of the house is making up the rules as they go along , whether you like them or not. Attached are two pages from the menu. The first clearly says that happy hour appetizers are 50%off. Not true. They are 20% off and the server will tell you that he doesn’t have the time to make the correction. Secondly, at first glance it appears that only some sandwiches can be purchased as a 1/2 sandwich and soup BUT when you study the menu further, all sandwiches can be combined. Not so says the server- even if that’s what the menu says. Then there’s the suggested tip calculation. It’s done on the total AFTER the tax! So you’re tipping the server on the sales tax. That’s a new one. One more issue before it becomes obvious that I won’t be going back anytime soon in spite of a tasty Reuben. Our bill showed a $3 sharing fee which would have been fine if 1) it was spelled out on the menu or 2) our server had at least mentioned it. Instead, when questioned, he said it was the “norm” to charge the fee. No apology. No problem. We...
Read moreCorner Spot Dine + Drink Wow, what a hidden gem in the making. Stumbled upon this quaint little place one evening while searching for a place to eat on Google Maps. My wife and I both enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We both had their smoked old-fashioned. I had the lamb entree, which was interesting and delicious. She had the salmon entree, and she was so impressed she couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the evening. We shared a beautiful dessert to finish off a relaxing evening out. This place, although small, boasts big flavors, super fresh ingredients, high-quality grass fed lamb, racks, lamb lollies, and fresh, high-quality seafood. The two other restaurants next doors were just as busy. Parking was a bit challenging but totally worth it. I would recommend giving this little place a try. It just may end up being your little weekly hide-away. We met the chef on our way out, and you'd be hard pressed to find a more genuine person. What an evening. We'll be back...
