Buffalo Chips Restaurant — Restaurant in Bonita Springs

I try to not leave negative reviews due to the fact everyone has a bad day but I felt compelled to write this review after seeing others commented on subpar service from the wait staff. We have visited this place twice since we live out of town, 5 hours away. First visit we had not complaints food service was excellent and food was even better. Some of the best ribs and wings we have ever experienced. This visit was on a Thursday night, not terribly busy around 8pm. My family consisted of a party of 6, of which 2 were former servers during college at high end establishments. We were seated and the waitress took our drink order. My adult son asked ever so nicely if the waitress could change the TV to the Eagles football game. There were only 3 other tables on our side of the bar. The waitress stated that she did not know how to change it, my son asked could you ask someone please? She responded a flat no. Hmmmm, ok well that was harsh but we are adults no harm done. Drinks were served and I was the only one who ordered sweet tea. The tea tasted funny like it was soured, we ordered our food and I asked for another drink and informed the waitress that I thought the tea was sour. When our food was brought out, I had still not received my drink and asked the person that brought the food out who was not our waitress for one. At this point, we did not see nothing but the backside of our waitress again, she leaned up at the cash register area with her back too us the rest of the night. Did not check to see if our meals were ok, did not refill any drinks, honestly this was the worst waitress I believe I have ever experienced. A girl bussing a table got us refills while she ignored us. She clearly heard and saw my daughter trying to get her attention and flatly turned her back on her. At the end of the night, I gave the bare minimum tip because I it is the right thing to do, but would have really liked to have not left anything. Just know this if the servers from this establishment read this review, I have been known to leave hefty tips for excellent service because I believe in rewarding a job well done. I know how hard the waitress job is and had kids that worked these jobs. The food was excellent just as before and will be back for a good meal and hope the servers...

Third and last try for these Bonita full time residents.

So Friday 8pm, us four adults were sat quickly inside, at a tight picnic bench table that definitely is meant for two. And instead of seating us at one of the tables that had some room in a more open space, we were put right next to a high top with 8 ppl, which meant our heads/faces were 8" away from their butts. Kinda funny, no big deal, Lol.

Ten mins later, the obviously frustrated server comes and while taking our drink order, comments out loud that she is ticked she got another table. 45 mins later we get 3 of 4 meals. We patiently waited for the 4th meal, that never came, neither did a refill, or the server.

I couldn't help notice that two other tables that came in 10 & 20 mins after us got their meals first. Now our server literally had to walk past and next to us to take and serve their orders, but never offered a refill, heard our multiple attempts to ask her a question, and avoided eye contact, it was really weird.

By the time we were just finishing up (two of us shared a meal) is when the server finally came by. We mentioned the missing meal so we weren't charged, she apologized, went to the kitchen, came back and said they could have it in 6-8 mins. But at that point we were just done. Thirsty, hungry, tired of "the view", so we decided to take a pass and asked for the check.

Last odd thing, when the server came back w a check she immediately starts stacking our empty plates on top of the basket of fries we are literally eating at that moment and it was intentional, now we're all pissed.

Even with slow service and average food, the repeated lack of courtesy, rude, and unhappy staff on three different Friday night visits makes you want to stay home and eat a bag of microwave popcorn.

This place survives partly because the lack of nearby options and because of that, it only needs...

I came here with my family last year and I remember having a bad experience when it came time to pay. I remembered that something showed one price on the menu but the bill showed another price and when brought to the waitresses attention, she had said that was the price and I just shrugged it off and said whatever. Well, we returned yesterday for lunch and I thought I would give it a second shot. The bill was wrong again. We all ordered side salads, which specifies on the menu that you can ADD ON a side salad to ANY ENTREE for an upcharge of $1.95. (When ordering, the waitress said there would be an upcharge and my Mother said out loud, yes, the $1.95, that is fine. The waitress did not say anything then). It does not specify anywhere on their menu in the restaurant or online that it is only for dinner entree's, so right there is false advertisement. We all got charged $4 for our side salads. Then a child's grilled cheese was ordered which is $2 and we were charged for an "upscale grilled cheese" which was almost $8. We asked for extra dressing for our salads when we ordered and didn't get them, so when our salads were brought to us we asked again and had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get the extra dressing. Everybody was waiting to finish their salads until we were able to get the dressing. Oh, and they don't offer regular tarter sauce for their fish entree's. They have a special made tarter sauce and it was not good. After receiving the bill, we had to wait an additional 10 minutes to address the issues on the bill to our waitress. She did correct the grilled cheese but we still were charged $4 for each salad rather than the $1.95 add on that the menu listed. Poor service from the waitress. We rarely saw her unless...
