Great people and atmosphere! They did accomodate us fast because we had to take out.
However, the food...I was a bit shocked that the iced coffee was pre sweetened..and the Mocha Mint coffee had so much sugar I thought I was eating cotton candy.
Ok. I get it...it happens sometimes... But not really a healthy portion of sugar to start your day.
For food...We ordered the veggie Omelette...The potatoes had so much salt..it was like taking a teaspoon of salt and putting it in your mouth. Again, not a healthy item has yet to be served. I planned out a stroke this afternoon...ok..so lets try the omelette.
There was way more veggies than egg..so that was very unbalanced..but the choice of veggies..was Kale and some tart cheese...Im sorry but if your chef messes up a basic veggie omelet...with the most bitter leaf next to a tart cheese...they don't know what they are doing. With food pairings like this......it might look good on the menu...but in reality...keep to what works - Mushrooms, tomato, onions..maybe add some asparagus, or broccoli...and a buttery cheese that pairs well with those.
Now..it could be that they had a substitute chef..but honestly...let the people at the table salt and sweeten the food and drinks themselves. The chef should only use a DASH of something when making something basic as potatoes and they should frequently try the food and test it before putting it on the plate. Not sure I will be going back..I'm pretty good with sticking with Skillets, The Coffee Bar or Silva's which are within walking distance of this particular First...
Read moreIn comparison to another First Watch restaurant Iâve visited this was sub par. Upon entry had to wait at the front to be greeted and seated. When greeted the male waiter seemed to look at my kids as an inconvenience. We wanted a booth and had to wait for one to be bussed and cleaned. Once sat the kids menu didnât come w/ crayons. Guess Iâll have to carry my own from now on. My food the works omelette all the inside fixâns were cold. Mind you too the waiter didnât ask what kind of toast and side I wanted. Apparently waiters choice! Wanted to let him know that my food was cold but didnât know where he went. He came back with boxes and asked if we needed them and how many. As we were boxing up our food cause I decided I could warm it at home. After boxing our food a person that I think was the manager asked if we received our bill. I said, no not yet. The male waiter must have notified her about my meal being cold. She offered me a coupon to come back for a Bogo on a meal. Get this the coupon expires in a couple days. Not a good impression from upon entry and felt inconveniencing them and not a sit relax, enjoy vibe with...
Read moreRude mask Nazis! Always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, never been to this one before. I walked in without a mask and they asked me to put mine on. I explained I am medically exempt, the manager said very matter-of-factly then we can sit you outside if you Donât want to wear your mask! I didnât say I donât want to wear it, I said I was medically exempt, he did not even acknowledge what I said. I told him no thank you, and as I turned around to walk out the door, he was like âOK byeâ arrogant and Rude! If he wouldâve acknowledged my statement and politely asked I wouldâve been happy to comply, but again he was rude and would not even acknowledge what I said.
However, the blessing and silver lining in this story is I went down the road to a place called âHouse of Omelettesâ much different experience. Friendly staff, great homemade food at good prices. They were not put off and did not question me about a mask. The owner told me if you were not wearing a mask you must have a reason, so we donât question you. Goodbye First Watch, Hello House...
