Disappointing Experience at the New Muji Location As frequent takeout customers of the original Muji restaurant on Bonita Beach Road, we were excited to hear about a new location, especially since the original suffers from a pervasive mildew smell due to its age and storm damage. The thought of finally being able to dine in at a Muji location was appealing. Unfortunately, our first and undoubtedly last visit to this new branch was deeply disappointing. The experience started poorly when I ordered a glass of wine. The pour was noticeably small, perhaps around 4 ounces. When I politely stated I'd rather not have it, the owner, who was also our server, immediately became confrontational. He identified himself as the owner and demanded to know why I wanted to send it back. Even after I explained that the pour looked small, he argued, stating that no other customer had ever complained about his pours before. This felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I reiterated that it wasn't a big deal and I would just have water, yet he continued to press the issue before finally taking our food order. His demeanor throughout this interaction was far from friendly. Sadly, the quality of the sushi did not improve the experience. It was noticeably inferior to the sushi we've come to expect from the Bonita Beach Road location. Some pieces even tasted fishy, which immediately made me stop eating. The presentation of the sushi on a boat was fine, but the owner's subsequent behavior was bizarre. As he placed the boat on our table, he abruptly asked, "What's wrong? What do you want me to do, split it into different plates?" This outburst was completely unprompted, as my daughter and I had our backs to him and weren't even speaking to him at that moment. His accusatory tone was shocking, especially coming from the owner. The final insult came with the bill, which included the glass of wine I had sent back untouched. When I refused to pay for it, the owner again argued. Even my children were taken aback by his rudeness and sense of entitlement. As the owner, one would expect a higher level of customer service and an understanding of basic restaurant practices, such as knowing standard wine pour sizes. I also noticed the illogical pricing of their beverage menu, where ordering four individual glasses of wine was cheaper than purchasing a bottle – a clear indication of poor management. Ultimately, we will not be returning to this new Muji location. While we appreciate the quality of the takeout sushi from the original Bonita Beach Road location (despite the unpleasant smell), this new establishment offered subpar food and truly appalling service from the owner himself. It's a shame, as we had hoped this new branch would provide a better dining-in experience. If you're looking for Muji sushi in this area, stick to the Bonita Beach Road location for takeout, but avoid this new branch at all costs. I chose not to leave a tip due to the consistent harassment and bizarre behavior we endured. The sushi here is simply...

Beautiful first-time experience. Great food and the service was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience and would not hesitate coming back. We will certainly would refer this place to our friends and family. Enjoy lunch specials 11am to 3 pm every day or Happy Hour 2 pm to 5:30pm every day but keep in mind that they are closed on Sundays. There are two locations and this was one at Pelican Landing is the second one they opened. The other place is at Bonita Beach Rd and if it is anything like this place then you can not go wrong and of course no need to travel far to experience exquisite cuisine right here at...

This is our first but not last visit to the 24600 S. Tamiami Trail location (there is another on Bonita Beach Road).

We both agree, 💯, that the food, service and atmosphere were great. Well, ok, the food was excellent. Yummy!! Two thumbs up 👍👍 at this location and I am sure the other location is just as good. This is a new location and well worth the visit.

We had chicken Phad Thai, Masaman curry chicken and another chicken dish. Pls forgive my spelling but the review and pictures are what is important.

Definitely a keeper and moves up to the top of our Thai...
