Hi SWFL, posting this review on a recent breakfast run. I been ordering from poached for the past month for breakfast run to-go before going work. At first, it was a great customer service I would call ahead to place my pick up order and i was always answered by a gentlemen who greeted me so nicely over the phone. I believe he might be the owner/manager. Unfortunately, this week other workers have been answering my calls but answering rudely without saying what establishment or good morning. My calls have been foward or hung up while placing my order. I believe at first they were having landline problems. In my recent pick up, I waited minutes even after being seen by waitress who decided not acknowledge me. Until one waitress said "come over here for pick up" in a bad attitude looking angry without greeting at all. I felt my business was not wanted and felt bad vibes. Today was my last pick up the service & food was aweful i was served a burnt english muffin which i couldn't eat and I payed because i did not notice until i was on my way to work trying to eat. Thanks for great beginning and bad taste at end poached. Respectfully, Abiel

This was our first time at Poached. I got the American breakfast and my husband got to short stack platter. It was all delicious but I did wish the potatoes had been seasoned more (or seasoned at all? I couldn’t tell). My toast was burnt but overall there was enough food to compensate for it. My husbands meal was way more delicious, as they make the pancakes a little “moist” like it’s still some batter to it—which is actually my favorite kind of pancake. The seasonal fruit was perfect, honestly the only place I’ve eaten the fruit I was given because it was quality. None of that bowl fruit where it’s a bunch of green melon you get at other breakfast places. We will definitely try it out again!

Poached Breakfast and Lunch. Usually busy - especially during season. Always greeted with thank you for coming. A great place for breakfast/lunch. Their Benedicts are especially good. Sandwiches and fries are very good too. Their potatoes are cooked well. You can tell they use local tomatoes - nice and fresh. I had their triple decker club sandwich on rye - very good. My wife had their Cali Benedict - one of her favorites. Their fruit cups usually have grapes, watermelon, strawberries or watermelon… sometimes one of the fruits is just fare. Service is good and you are told again thanks for coming when you leave.

We attempted to have breakfast at Poached last Saturday around 11 am. The restaurant was not busy so we were promptly seated by a polite young man. My husband had never dined there before so needed some time to look over the menu as he found many options that sounded delicious but no one approached our table to offer a beverage until the young man at the door finally asked if anyone had asked us for our drink order. We ordered waters, a sweet tea, and a mimosa. By now we have been sitting for ten minutes or so but we're in no rush and had just decided on our breakfast so we're good. The young man brings our waters and tea but no mimosa, I assume because he is too young to serve an alcoholic beverage. Another 5 minutes goes by and a server brings my mimosa but doesn't speak or give us a chance to ask if we have a server. Another 5 minutes goes by and we're getting a little antsy. The restaurant is not busy but we can't even seem to catch anyone's eye. Finally we flag down the polite young man at the door and ask if we have a server. He walks over to the woman who dropped my mimosa at our table, she eventurally comes over and snottily says something to effect of "I thought someone already took your order" to which I say something like "Well, we have open menus on our table..." and from there it went quickly downhill. She took our order and then proceeded to do everything but put the order into the POS system. I know this because I watched her like a hawk. After 15 minutes of her wandering around doing everything but put our order in, I see her finally entering an order, quickly approach her to ask if that is our order and when she replies "yes", let her know she can brink our check for our beverages because we are leaving. Her response? "If you wanted fast food, there are plenty of fast food restaurants around." I work at a local breakfast restaurant. We would NEVER let a guest sit for 20 minutes without drinks and another 20 minutes without putting an order in the POS. On our way out the door, I asked the young man if I could speak with the manager and he very nervously replied, "Actually I am the manager on duty." Poor kid. He was lovely. The rest of the wasted 45 minutes, not so much. We went around the corner to our go to breakfast spot and were greeted, ordered, our food arrived, ate, and paid withing half an hour. No, we were not looking for fast food but after the blown hour, their speed was...

This was the first time my wife and I came here for breakfast. We saw many good reviews but we were very disappointed. I ordered the short stack platter and my wife got a yogurt parfait. The server placed our order on the table and was gone without asking if we needed anything. I needed some butter for my pancakes and after a while without seeing our server I asked Ray at the door and he got it for me. The pancakes were hard and actually cracked apart when I tried to move them on my plate. I waited to tell the server but she never came back to check on us til the rest of the meal was finished. When she did come back after we were done I told her the pancakes were not good and she said what's wrong with them and I showed her how they were dry and broke apart. She asked me if I wanted them to make new ones but we were done with the rest of the breakfast so I said no thank you and she said ok then. The other servers were going around and freshing up their customers coffees and she never came back and asked if we would like a refill. I was also charged full price for my meal that was not edible. My wife's order was very good and other customers breakfasts looked delicious so maybe mine was a fluke. I told Ray the manager of our experience and he said please give another try and ask for him when we come back but I don't think we...
