Arroz Con Pollo — Restaurant in Boone

I never write reviews for restaurants, but this one cannot go unnoticed.

Arroz Con Pollo is hands down the best food you can get in Boone. I might even say this is the best food I’ve ever had in my life. The food is phenomenal and the staff are extremely friendly. Every time I walk in there, I always feel welcomed. Although the prices are low, don’t let that confuse you into thinking the quality is low! The quality of food is superior to anything else you can eat in this town and they give you so much food that you might even have some to save for later! You can customize your ACP however you prefer and they offer a huge variety of options. Something I need to point out is that the cheese is under the chicken and rice so if you prefer more cheese sauce, you’re able to mix in more and if you prefer less, you can have less! They make your food in just a few minutes which is very convenient if you’re in a rush. And the restaurant is also extremely clean with a perfect score of 100% (much cleaner than other restaurants in Boone). Although they’re hard to spot at first, they are located right next to the Food Lion near Walmart meaning there’s tons of parking making it extremely accessible. We tried this new little place the other day and we were so pleased with it that we ate there again later that week.

Let me just start by saying that you get such a big portion that it turned into two meals for us.

Blue got the original ACP and a side of broccoli and Moonshine tried the Pineapple Chicken ACP and we were both pleased with the amazing flavor of these wonderful noms.

There is no dining-in but orders are cooked to order right before you and comes up in a reasonable amount of time.

I would suggest that they offer more tortillas to go with such giant portions, otherwise, this is the perfect place to nab some food for a picnic or to take home for dinner and I know that I could feed my family of five off of just the two plates we got. FOLLOW ME FOR MORE LOCAL...

Hawaiian plus Onion (No Cheese) Plate

If you haven’t tried this locally owned restaurant yet, you’re missing out. I ordered the Hawaiian and onion plate (no cheese), and it was delicious! The flavors were so well balanced—the sweetness of the pineapple, the savory onions, and the fresh quality ingredients made every bite enjoyable. Even without cheese, it was full of flavor and didn’t feel like anything was missing.

Portions here are no joke, you get plenty of food, and the prices are great for this level of quality. It’s clear the chef truly cares about what leaves the kitchen. Everything feels made with intention, not rushed or generic. You can taste the pride in the food!

This is the kind of small, local business that deserves support. Can’t wait to come back...
