I didn't realize they were open again. My family decided to treat ourselves and go to this supposedly high end buffet. 29.99 per person. I arrived right after they opened at 4pm. There was a pretty good line that preceded us, roughly 15 people. It took about 15 minutes to move through that line. I was trying to determine why, in retrospect I think it was only to slow people down. I pre left a decent tip etc. We finally get seated and survey the options. The options are less than Golden Corral, the resident go to for buffetts. I walk up to the meat area first on the left side of the run. They had rice, pot roast, Mac and cheese, green beans. some version of a roasted beef to carve along with some sausage. Next area had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravely and finally pork chops. Next section had an basic seafood assortment. Catfish, Shrimp, hush puppies, finally they had some Italian food. Some kind of chicken broccoli spaghetti, spaghetti, and Italian bread sticks. Finally the deserts were precut and left in their own area. Lots of small cheesecake variants along with peanut butter and sugar cookies, chocolate cakes, and large brownies. Now that you know what they have.... I'll tell you what was great: Absolutely nothing. What's good? The sausage, Italian bread, maybe the fried chicken, and deserts. Server: she was nice. She was literally the only one for all of us. She didn't get to the table to take our drink order for a good 10 m minutes after we sat down and effectively had our food just waiting on a drink. When we got it the glass was half full of cubed ice. We ran out of drink 1/4 into our meal and didn't get refills till we were done with our main courses. What's bad? Literally everything on the buffet was a poor representation of what Golden Corral does at least well on. Over half of what we tried tasted dry or old and I'll remind you we arrived when they opened. First area: The Mac and cheese had some fake smoke on it that was a little off-putting, dry not creamy. Green beans were Italian style, fine but forgettable. Rice was rice. Pot roast had a rich gravy but meat was very undercooked and gristly. Very unpleasant to eat. Carved beef was dark brown to black even after the slice. I thought it was smoked. I PROMISE YOU that beef half cooked and then was left out for hours sitting in a warmer to dry out. I know beef, it's a passion of mine. The texture and dryness what's incredibly off-putting. Fat hadn't rendered. I didn't even finish my slice. I always eat my meat. It was only going downhill from here. Sausage had a firm casing but was actually pretty good. Peppered and moist. Good job here. The rolls were effectively tasteless sister suberts rolls. Meh. Mashed potatoes is 100% INSTANT, zero texture mush. Gravy was watery and almost tasteless. After the last two big misfires I was pretty lost. Fried chicken had a good batter but bigger pieces were under cooked and chewy. Nothing special. Pork chops, there was a pile of breaded and fried pork chops. They were SO DRY. They've been sitting out for God knows how long and they just opened!? Next area seafood; The catfish was flavorless and had no crisp to the catfish nugget. It was bleh. Shrimp was okay but not especially fresh or hot. Flavor was a little better but still not worth it. Alfredo spaghetti was decent. Nothing special but decent. Italian bread has some flavor to it and was soft enough. That bread was better than the rolls. Deserts: The cakes were all fine. The cheesecakes didn't have a strong flavor but were fine. Cookies were all good. So to sum it up: I've never felt worse after dropping 115 bucks for 3 people to eat. When I tell you there is zero reason to go here when Golden Corral does everything better than them, and has more choices believe me. We got here when they opened and half the food was old and dry. The they are understaffed despite taking your money. Do not even step foot in this terrible place. Don't do it for me, do it for yourself. This is just terrible.

Worth the price tag based on what you want to eat. Any other restaurants (Shane's, Joe's Crab Shack, any place that does boiled shrimp bags) will charge you $20-30 for a bag of a dozen shrimp + more money for corn/potatoes. Here you can eat until your heart is content & busting at the seams. The fish isn't fresh water catfish but was ok when hot. The fried shrimp, again other places will charge more & limit how many you get for large/jumbo size fried shrimp, was warm & juicy. I pretty much got full on the shrimp so I couldn't taste test everything. The quesadillas were made fresh & places in the pan. I didn't ask, but the cook may be able to take custom requests. But the chicken quesadillas was thick & flavorful. The chocolate cake was great. Our waiter & neighboring waitresses were great & attentive to everyone's needs. The only drawback is that some dishes had been sitting there, but if it was slow that night. If it was busier, I'm sure the pans would've been moving in & out faster with fresher food. Definitely worth a try if you like any of the food pictured as you can eat as much as you want. Maybe they will have a seafood night or have crawfish when season comes back around.

I read the reviews, and they were way off. It's definitely much better than Golden Coral. Great selection . Hot dishes. Price was well worth it. Friendly staff. I'd come here again. Seems like a lot of locals stopped by for dinner. Very clean.

I treated my sister and mother by taking them to the buffet for Mother's Day. As much as they advertise on the billboard and radio stations you would think the buffet would be on point. Our waitress was the best part of the experience he made sure we had everything we needed. Let start with soon as I get up there to the buffet food looks like it had been sitting up there since they open. Then I ask the guy how long will it be oh chicken he said about 15 minutes. We'll let say it took him about 30 to 44 minutes to bring out just a small pan of chicken. Which he knew alot guest was waiting for because they only had fish on the line and baked chicken. So the chicken came out some guest was able to get some and some where not. The chicken was not cooked all way. Plus they did not have enough hot sauce we was using the last drop out the bottle. To the point our waitress went and found us some Popeyes packs of house sauce. The guy on the line had attitude about dropping some chicken taking his time standing there watching us instead going to drop some more chicken. Which I paid almost $300 for this buffet just to wait for them to put food on the line is crazy. They ran out of the white plate so the guy told us to use the Mexican plate that was for other part of the buffet to make nacho, fiesta and etc. Overall I would not recommend this...
