This was the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life.

When my partner and I arrived, all the tables were dirty and had not been cleared from previous diners. We didn’t understand that you order and pay for your food and are requested to tip before you receive any service. Eventually, someone cleared a table for us. We sat there for 15 minutes before one of the staff members came up and explained that we order and pay first. After figuring out where the line to order started, I ordered the char grilled oysters. My partner ordered the fried oyster platter. Drinks are self service. My chargrilled oysters were not properly shucked and were tiny. I requested French bread to soak up the butter, garlic, and Parmesan which was minimal. I was informed that it came with saltine crackers, and French bread would be two dollars extra. I opted for the bread and received three 1/2 inch thick slices of toasted baguette. My partners fried oysters were small and served with cocktail sauce that barely had any horseradish and basically tasted like ketchup. The oysters were served on a heaping mound of seasoned french fries, which were pretty good, and with couple of tasty hush puppies. We did request more horseradish which arrived quickly and we were able to create an acceptable cocktail sauce. Again, this was the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. The bill plus tip was approximately $75. A complete...

I am convinced these are bots making these reviews. This place is a was extremely disappointing. Probably one of my worst restaurant experiences ever! First we walk in. Did not get greeted. There was no server no host just a cook and busser. After sitting around we figured we had to go the counter and order. After ordering everything was self serve. Get your own drinks, silverware, etc. Hell i started to go behind the bar and fix me a mixed drink. Spent 124$ on some supposed firecracker shrimp. They were precooked and they just throwed them in the grease and threw some spiracha or whatever sauce they use. My husband ordered the snapper. The fish was fine but the rice was old, hard, and dry. I got the fish and shrimp platter and got 3 regular sized shrimp, and three strips of what is supposed to be catfish. It definitely was not. It was burnt and disgusting. Couldn't eat it. We also ordered a dungeon crab platter. The crab was overcooked to the point where there was literally no meat. The only good thing was the coke I ordered . They definitely lost a lot of od business that day....I will...

Absolutely pathetic, negative stars. We walk in and every single person is just standing around watching a sports game on TV. We arrive just after a dinner rush, and we are the only customers in the place. We walk up to the counter to order looking for the menus. The server walks up and doesn't even greet us, just stands there. We finally notice the menus hiding beside the register, the server needs customer service training. The menu says fresh (nothing frozen). We go to sit at a booth and every single one of the table tops are filthy. My wife grabs some napkins and clears the table while all of the employees are standing around watching her do their job. We get a king crab and surf n turf. The crab is obviously frozen as it just mushes when I try to crack it open, a clear sign of frozen or boiled all day long, and very bland. I ordered the ribeye medium, but its so thin it cant be anything but well done. $125 for a steak, and some king crab legs. I will never return and don't recommend this...

The Port Seafood & Oyster Bar offers a satisfying seafood experience in Shreveport. The standout dishes during my visit were the shrimp and snow crab. The shrimp was particularly impressive - fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It's clear they know how to prepare this seafood staple to perfection. The snow crab was another highlight of the meal. Succulent and sweet, it was a treat for any crab lover. The meat was easy to extract and paired well with the provided butter. It's worth noting that this is a seat-yourself establishment, which adds to its casual, relaxed vibe. While I didn't try everything, all the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked solid, suggesting consistency across their menu. The Port delivers on its promise of quality seafood in a pleasant, laid-back dining atmosphere. A great spot for seafood lovers looking for a no-fuss, delicious meal.

We wanted some seafood in the Schreveport, LA area. So, I turned to Google to see what others were talking about. The Port has glowing recommendations 4.9 out of 5. We decided to see for ourselves. The Port is located in the food court of the Horseshoe Casino. ( The casino has a car parking garage attached to the building and a semi parking near the helicopter pad a little down the road) Okay, so now the food . I LOVED the shrimp Étouffée. It was very flavorful. They had run out of Dungeness crab over the weekend, so I treated myself to King Crab and I was not disappointed 😋. My dinner partner indulged themselves with the shrimp and catfish platter, Seafood gumbo, and we shared the calamari, which were cooked perfectly, not rubbery, and again, the flavor was great. In conclusion, I agree with the ratings and will definitely put them on the list of returns.
