Really cool place. I'm torn when I write these reviews because taste is such a subjective thing. I ordered the macaroni and cheese and the description indicates 4 cheese sauce and bread crumbs. Having a sensitive palate, I prefer my food as bland as possible. Therefore this description seemed appealing. However, it was pretty clear that they sprinkled garlic flakes or something on the top. This flavor addition might be considered an enhancement to others, but to me it was an unwelcome surprise. Scraping off the top, I was able to dodge a decent amount of the garlic taste. The unaffected macaroni and cheese sauce was great. However, it's a bit off a pet peeve of mine when a pretty substantial seasoning that affects the entire dish is left out of the menu description. I have no metrics to prove this, but I'd guess that many others who buy macaroni and cheese are looking for that old fashioned, comforting taste untainted by garlic. However, if I'm wrong I'm wrong. Nonetheless, the staff were great, and I enjoyed the cornbread and side of fries. Might stop by again and see if I can request no garlic in the mac and...
Read moreJust ate here. Sat at the bar. We were treated very well. That being said you came here to make sure your money is spent wisely based on service and the food.
Service: 9.5/10 Folks were friendly, seats were comfortable, nothing is perfect. 9.5.
Food: 4.1/10 Bland. Echoing multiple reviews only found after dinner we both (my fiancé and I) found the food to be bland. She got the meatloaf. I got the steak frites.
Meatloaf was so bland. The sauce retained its flavor for the same duration as fruit stripe gum. Then it was bland. The mashed potatoes were so disappointing. Runny and bland. (If you’ve had it and you like it and disagree I strongly believe you should get checked. Head injuries are no joke)
Steak frites had ZERO salt. Not on the steak and not a speck on the fries. The chimichuri? They may not have used vinegar or Fresno chili at...
Read moreI love their patio but we don’t often go there because their menu is limited for health - oriented pescatarians. Their fish tacos come with too much stuff on them, the po-boy is fried and I personally don’t like salmon or beets which are the one regular fish dish. Their veggie main is Mac and cheese- not particularly healthy. But we went tonight because the weather was great. Happily they had two fish specials. I ended up having the blackened cod with capers and olives in a white wine sauce and it was bona fide incredible. Really wish it was permanently on the menu. didn’t want the sides of green beans and mashed potatoes so I got their arugula and goat cheese salad as a side and it was delish. Glad I gave them a chance. Wish they would add more to the menu for...
