This five star review is exclusively for their torta. And that too, their Santa Fe chicken torta. With fried plantains. Mmmm. If you want proof, look at the photos below!
I feel like they've prefected the torta game. You choose your protein first (my choice is the Santa Fe chicken - it's marinated chicken with peppers, juicy and flavorful). They add in the various toppings - refried beans, oxaca cheese, pickled onions, avocado, chipotle aioli. I also request to add fried plantains and Pico de Gallo. They toast it until the bread is crispy on the outside and the cheese melts. It's delicious!
My other choices here haven't worked out so well: Ordered a quesadilla once, but they rolled it up weirdly like a burrito and called it a quesadilla, don't know what happened there. Tried the grilled chicken taco but was a little dry. Got the torta with fried fish but it was a little too fishy for me and the smell of old refried oil. Same with the churros. This could be a one off thing, but I haven't tried it again.
Also, every topping has a price associated to it. But it's still quite affordable. And...
Read moreI have loved amelias for years, but they have changed a lot on their menu during covid and it isn’t nearly as good. The rice has no seasoning and the refried beans seems more like charro beans. My husbands chicken had no seasoning either. I’m sure they’re trying to save money because they’ve been hit hard by COVID. I still think they’re better than chipotle. But, I really miss the beans. That’s what I used to go there for.

The refried beans are incredible. I would eat a gallon of these in a heartbeat. The guacamole is also great, but for me it’s all about the beans. They are also the nicest staff. They gave me some free tortillas. They are incredible. 15/10...
Read moreI come here every day. No joke, At least 4-5 times a week. Every-time I go, The shorter gentleman behind the bar always greats me with enthusiasm. i can tell he worked there for awhile and I’ve become recognizable at this point. But EVRY TIME I GO and those 3 ladies are there, all they do is talk to each other and it really slows things down. When the guys are there I never have this problem.
Then they look at me confused or with disinterest when I have a question. Some dont even speak english. (Which is fine, my mother is a spanish speaker) I remember my girlfriend and I got food there the other day and we wanted to pay separately and she said "Why?" As if she didn’t want to put another order in. Ridiculous.
Overall, amazing food. I hope you catch the men at...
