Backwoods Pizza — Restaurant in Boston

I called to place an order just to be put on hold for 20 minutes as the lady who picked up took every order that walked in, called in and came in through cpu!

I could hear the conversations as she would laugh and play with who must’ve been the cook. She NEVER came back on the phone to take my order.

This would have been my first try at this place and I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and didn’t even try the food.

Poor customer service skills seems to be the ongoing theme with these pizza places. I may have to switch neighborhoods

Don’t try and make an excuse as to why the help couldn’t help! I was ordering from the phone in my car parked across the street and witnessed EVERYTHING that took place.

To try ANd justify bad service is worst than bad service! There wasn’t 6 people inside waiting in fact the other phone rang Ava I heard her pick up the phone and take a whole ORDER that called AFTER me! I saw People pull-up get out of their cars and place orders while I’m on hold as she just stands there laughing and joking with the kitchen.

Please DON’T LIE about having good service when clearly you don’t! Who ever is giving these good reviews don’t care about service and probably never had...

Backwoods pizza is one of the last few quality pizza shops & community merchants. When you walk in you feel the family owned spirit behind Backwoods Pizza. The recent facelift is the spark behind this review on a WFH day pickup of the Monday special. What I dug the most was the branding from memento to the modern, by keeping / replicating a piece of the original signage. while waiting for my always evenly baked pizza, small talk about the construction and changes. Noting when buildings have murals on them before demolition, pieces like the Mandela Mural on Warren can be replicated & relocated or included in remodels, w/ all the tech now, we LOL . Oh yes, they are also “ in tech “ with the times. 😁. Payment options are clear and even doing reviews like this are just a click of your camera screen . Its the small things that make a big difference for pride in community. Like a small family owned & local employer of a neighborhood pizza shop shows. As the owner said “ Connecting the Past...

Over charging way too much. First and last time!

$18 plus tax for a large 1 topping pizza and a large cheese was only $9.99..? Waited forever and after $32 my cheese pizza was completely cold.

I watched many people come and go for pizza while we waited so I wonder who got to take home my hot cheese pizza instead of me..? Must be a regular that matters more than a new face..

Newcomers seemingly are not welcome..?

And the hot pizza was average at best. Cold pizza was totally gross!!

No to-go items such as plates, black pepper, crushed peppers or anything else you might expect from an over priced pizza joint either.

Huge disappointment! Buyer beware!! There's probably a better pizza place around...
