A friend and I toured this historic home with Rachel as our guide. Very interesting to come to understand its architectural history and important people who called it home. I was so happy to find that the Marquis de Lafayette spent a night here as well. Thankful there are organizations focused on preserving this history. Thanks, Rachel!

Was lucky to get a tour, Sam was an excellent guide. This is a national treasure and as worthy of your time as the Freedom Trail.

Definitely one of Boston’s hidden gems. A beautiful house with lovely grounds, engagingly and honestly interpreted in the house tour. The beautiful house was built by one of the last colonial governor of Massachusetts (Gov. Shirley) and later it became the home of one the first governors of Massachusetts (Eustace). The tour does not diminish the terrible institutions that allowed such luxury to flourish, and there has been an effort to learn about and honor the enslaved people who lived and toiled at a house around which modern...
