My friend ("he" hereafter) had written a review about the manager being extremely rude, and the same thing happened again. What's even more outrageous is that the manager slammed my friend's credit card on the table, saying, "I won't take your payment, and I'm not accepting your order," while arguing about my order not being processed through their website. So, he protested their attitude towards customers, but they didn't listen and insisted that he was being unreasonable and should move on. he protested, asking why they got to decide whether we'd move on or not.
At that moment, another employee intervened, and he moved past the situation. However, after the manager complained to the owner, she called him. The owner, the mother of the manager, was no different. she tried to offer a "solution" by saying, "Don't use the app; just call." Meanwhile, she acted like a third party saying, "I'm not there, so I can't judge the specific situation." He tried to explain the situation in detail to prevent such occurrences in the future, but her response was hostile, considering his explanations as a personal attack against them.
She kept saying, "What's wrong with calling to place an order?" He repeatedly stated that the main issue was not about placing orders via phone or app; it was about the manager's attitude. Giving feedback to the manager and owner about these situations would be helpful for their business and customer service, but they reacted hysterically, accusing him of singling them out with previous reviews. He told them, "I wrote the previous review because, after calling you numerous times, you didn't answer, and after filing a complaint on your website, you didn't respond." But the owner continued, "We try to serve customers well, but if you are looking for something wrong and trying to find fault with us, what can we do?"
She kept insisting they did no wrong. First, the manager would not listen to the customer's input and try to fight against customers. Then, their service was also very inappropriate as professionals in the business sector. He intended to provide them with an objective look at the situation and give them some feedback. However, both the manager and the owner acted as if they were being personally attacked. The owner kept calling the manager "my kid, my kid".
As a result, they were not willing to objectively approach his concerns, and the owner eventually said, "You don't get along with our store (my kid), so don't come." Both the manager and owner are unwilling to listen to the other party's story and do not understand what's wrong. It raises concerns about whether they are prepared to take care of their customers properly.
Their level of customer service that is unacceptable in the 21st century. He hoped that the owner can understand what went wrong and improve their communication skills. They didn't even respond to his previous complaint about their website's ordering system errors, which forced him to go to the store, order again, and wait longer for his food. The manager got angry, saying it wasn't their fault, instead of offering a decent apology and receiving proper feedback. It's not a personal attack against any specific individual but feedback on the manager's web management and the store service overall.
It's important to note that most of the negative reviews on this store's page are all pointing out problems with their customer service. It's disappointing that they can't distinguish between private and business matters, and it's concerning how they don't understand that they're in the business of providing objective service to customers who pay for...
Read moreGoing to preface this by saying I love bbq chicken and have really enjoyed their chicken in the past. However, my food last night gave me TERRIBLE food poisoning that has lasted through today.
I ordered the soy garlic and the honey garlic chicken, both of which I’ve had many times in the past with no issue. About an hour and a half after eating only 4 pieces of chicken, the food poisoning set in and I have been extremely sick ever since. Nausea, vomiting, other intestinal issues.. I hadn’t eaten anything else for 7+ hours leading up to it so there is no chance that it could have been anything else, and this is not a viral flu. The food was either contaminated and not properly cooked/handled, or, they changed their recipe to contain fresh dairy which they did not disclose anywhere on their website menu or on their door dash menu. I am very allergic to fresh dairy (milk, cream, fresh cheeses like cream cheese), and I’ve never had issues with those menu items from bbq chicken in the past, I’ve probably had them about 5 times before in the past two years with no issue. If they did change the recipe to contain fresh dairy, they should disclose that in an ingredients list on their menu or explicitly provide an allergen statement. There is no allergy information anywhere on any of their menus.
However, given that it’s unlikely that their sauce for the honey & soy garlic would contain milk/cream (if the chicken batter contained dairy it wouldn’t effect me as it has been cooked), contaminated food is likely the source of the food poisoning. I would encourage future customers to consume at your own risk and for bbq chicken to provide customers with an allergy statement as I find it pretty absurd that there is not one already. Again, I am very upset about this because Ive loved bbq chicken in the past but I will not consume it again in the future as the risk is...
Read moreMy wife and I came for lunch at bbq chicken during a very quiet time, where there were only 2 tables occupied, we were served quickly and placed our order which consisted of:
Honey garlic wings and Jjim dak
The chicken wings and drinks arrived quickly while we were waiting for the jjim dak, when serving the jjim dak my wife and I found that there was plenty of broth ( as we enjoyed) but not spicy at all, something surprising in not expected from jjim dak , as it is a naturally spicy dish.
We did not hesitate and asked to redo it because we would like it to be spicy and emphasized that it was not prepared correctly.
After more than 10 minutes of waiting, and in the meantime the rice had cooled down for good, we received the Jjim dak, and this time they outdid themselves! There was no broth at all!
My wife and I asked to cancel the Jjim dak order for the double annoyance it caused us on a Sunday lunch.
When asking for cancellation, the waitress came with the explanation that "that was the way we now prepare jjim dak".
What I found even more unacceptable was this type of angry attitude, blaming the customer for the lack of seriousness and professionalism of the cooks, managers and employees themselves.
In this establishment the focus is clearly not to satisfy the customer or improve the service and food but to act in an unprofessional way like a food salesman.
Lost a customer who used to...
