Top BBQ spot I've been to in Boston, and easily the top when accounting for price. I got a huge platter of pulled pork with corn bread, potato salad, and collard greens for $19 (before tax).
The pulled pork is a huge serving of -- I think -- Eastern North Carolina style BBQ (pulled pork in a lightly vinegary sauce). Not the "traditional" style of pulled pork (made with a sweet BBQ sauce), but (1) I love this style, and (2) they did a really great job with it here. There's also lots of more "traditional" BBQ sauces if you want to add those. I thought it was phenomenal. The corn bread was pretty solid. The potato salad was also very very good. The ribs were not cooked though, when I brought them up to the counter they looked at me and did not care to look themselves, responded with “they are precooked, we just heat them up. We can get you new ones but this is how they are” I did not want more undercooked Ribs.
The staff were rude, unpleasant, and unfriendly. I do not recommend the food and the staff made it that much worse.
should be noted I was not the only platter around me with...
