Worse experience ever! We visit Boston two times a year and venture out to Wahlbergers. Well I will never step foot in any of their restaurants again. The atmosphere was horrendous. A particular staff member was bad mouthing another staff member to their coworker and their conversation was quite an eye opener. It was evident the work environment was not pleasant. Upon arriving we were given water and then ignored for the remainder of the time. Finally the manager approached and asked if we were looked after. My daughter said no. He then replied well you got water. He proceeded to talk about himself and he was from New York. He then was called away from us for a phone call and told one of his staff to look after us. Ignored once again I was ready to leave. I put my coat on and wanted to leave but my daughter said Mom just wait. Finally this arrogant guy who was too busy looking at himself in the mirror the whole time we were there swaggered over to our table. I was never so disgusted the way he dealt with us. He evidently does not know how to deal with customers. I made it quite evident I was not happy with his service. Not once did he check on us to see if everything was okay or if we wanted more drinks. Once we're finished eating my daughter asked for bill and the same ignorant bald headed fellow slapped the bill on the table and walked away. This made my blood boil and I asked another waiter to get us the manager.
To make an even longer story short the manager sat down and said he will address our situation and began to tell us how he came to this location to try and turn it around. He talked about previous manager and how he needed to make it better there. We were not interested in hearing this. He wanted us to come back today and give us a free meal but we declined. Is it too much to ask for customer service these days? We were brought to tears at the way we were treated.
The manager gave us our meal free. Two Ceasar salads and drinks. Thank you!
But this will not bring us to this establishment ever again in Boston near Fenway. We will not support Wahlbergers ever again.
If you want great customer service and good food check out the other fine restaurants in the area .
Wahlbergers never again!!! And by the way for service and atmosphere I couldn't give it a lower score as it wasn't an option.
Sorry to say you lost...
Read moreI visited Wahlburgers over the summer with my sons. The business was only partially full when we arrived. The service was terrible. Our waitress took our order and that was about the last time we saw her until we paid our bill. When our food was delivered, we were not provided any utensils. The waitress never came back over to our table even after we tried to get her attention, and my son had to go to the bar to retrieve his own utensils. We later got her attention and asked for an additional straw. She never returned with it. We were never even offered refills on our beverages until we asked for our bill. Due to the horrible service, I left her a tip that reflected it. Several weeks later I checked my credit card statement and noticed my bill was higher than it was supposed to be. I called and spoke to a manager of the restaurant and was told the bill showed a 20% tip added. I informed the manager the tip was way lower then 20% due to bad service. His reply was only that it was what they had and was what I was going to be charged. I informed him I actually had a photo of the receipt with the tip on it and had to send it to him to get him to acknowledge that what they had was inaccurate. When I questioned him about why there was a 20% tip added instead of what I had written down on the receipt he advised when they entered the bill, they must have accidently hit the 20% tip button. I informed him I wanted a refund of the overcharge and after several more phone calls a partial refund showed up on my credit card statement. I had to call back several more times to get them to correctly refund me the whole amount I was overcharged. In the end it took me over a month of back and forth calling with them to get them to refund their "accidental" overcharge. I will never return to this establishment and recommend other patrons monitor what they are charged since I don't believe my overcharge was a mistake. If I could have left 0 stars for this review,...
Read moreOn a Sunday evening at 6:30pm, my family and I were excited to try Wahlburgers while visiting Boston for the first time. We are from Arkansas and were visiting the area for my graduation from SNHU. Initially, everything seemed promising—we were greeted warmly by the young lady at the counter and directed to the hostess stand.
However, once we reached the stand, things quickly took a turn. We stood waiting while the host, who was chatting and laughing with a table of customers, ignored us. The restaurant wasn’t busy—just a few diners at the bar and no one else waiting. After 3-4 minutes, he finally turned around, gave us a lukewarm greeting, and seated us.
Once seated, we waited several minutes for our waiter to arrive. When he finally did, we ordered drinks (two waters with lemon and a Coke) and an appetizer of truffle fries. We received our drinks promptly but one water without lemon and he placed them in front of us incorrectly. We then waited over 20 minutes without any sign of our appetizer or the waiter returning to take our order.
Frustrated, we flagged down another staff member and asked for the check to pay for the drinks. At that point, our waiter returned, apologized for the delay, and mentioned being busy (though the restaurant was far from full). While they comped the Coke, the experience was disappointing, to say the least.
I rarely ever leave reviews, but the service at this location was some of the worst I’ve experienced. This place needs a serious overhaul in...
