While visiting Boston for an evening, a friend of mine and I searched for well-reviewed ice cream in the area.
The ice cream was very good overall, and the waffle cones were made fresh, just for us! Please read on for more details.
As the ice cream was prepared in "New Zealand" fashion, the fruit, the toppings, and the base were all mixed together in a swirling corkscrew pattern. I highly recommend the vanilla base, with blueberries and honey - in the waffle cone, of course!
Unfortunately, this location was not equipped to receive payment in cash, thus a cash tip was provided, in order to ensure that the hardworking clerk was able to be rewarded at the end of their shift for a job well done.
I found myself eyeing the merchandise, as the hat design looked quite enticing as well, and it would certainly be a hat that I would wear regularly. However, there was only one hat of each style left on the shelf, and I hesitated when purchasing the last item available, as that would negatively impact the appearance of the merchandise display. Read moreI went to the Far Out counter at Time Out Market last night with two other people. They both each ordered regular sized fruit ice creams. It took a long time for the worker to make our ice cream. The line builds up and making this ice cream takes time. As the worker was mixing the fruit in the ice cream, she threw away 2 freshly made ice creams before giving us an ice cream. We were horrified at how wasteful this was while the worker did not give this a second thought. Can't imagine that was the first time it's been done.
Otherwise, they said the ice cream wasn't too sweet which was nice though it was very big and neither were able to be finished. They did not have any vegan or non-dairy options. For 2 regular sized ice creams, it was about $20.
Gave 2 stars for lack of non-dairy and especially for how wasteful...
Read moreEDIT: the owner contacted me and was kind enough to offer refund as well as gift card, I'll be open to give the other branches a try next time, but not this location. Horrible place, horrible hot chocolate(?) and horrible server, dont go there, waste of money.
The person said they ran out of whipped cream and that it's "very liquidy" right now and suggested to either add that to my hot chocolate or to serve me without it. And so I had to ask without the "liquidy" whipped cream and she did not even offer a discount since she wasnt serving me the full product, on top of this the payment screen showed by default 20% tip. I got so annoyed but still paid for the hot chocolate and of course with 0% tip. The hot chocolate she gave me was not even warm, just cold.. such a...
