Being from the south, I was excited to find a spot up here that serves fish and grits. My first impression walking in, was a spot for just pick up and go - I planned on dining in. No real investment in anything past the front counter. I ordered the fish and grits special, with scrambled eggs (extra) and upgraded the "fresh brewed sweet tea" from a small to a large (extra). Everything I received was unseasoned! Luckily, I asked for salt and hot sauce. I received about 5 packs of salt, I had to use everyone to season my food. The fish, I had to use hot sauce for it to have flavor. The white toast that came with the breakfast was truly toasted and buttered, which was good, but it also was also cold. The tea was lemon flavored, which is not "fresh brewed". I had a good interaction with the cashier at first, until I returned the drink and exchanged it for fruit punch - he wasn't smiling anymore. The positive was that I received a good portion of food. But that didn't matter because it was all unseasoned. I will not return to this...

The food is good only, when they answer the phone(on time), dont put you hold for a half an hour, tell you they dont have certain food, dont run out of food, dont get the orders right. Other than that the food is awesome. The people have very great personalities, and care about their clients. Im serious about the 2nd part. They are a great place with need of well overdue improvement. They have been running this business for years, come on guys yall should be perfect by now. 2 stars only because they are not trying to improve. Excuses for years can only go so far. Love the family enviroment, but this is business.- Love a Veteran...

Clean breakfast spot. I stopped by for a quick cheese grits and a hot sausage, no eggs or extra add ins.

My order came up promptly. Customer Service was above average i was accommodated on the particulars. They charge you extra if you use a card instead of cash

The grits were fine. I personally like them creamier. The sausage was small, salty, and not hot/spicy. I like my sausage hot and spicy. It did have a good flavor though. So I'm pretty sure it was just plain regular smoked sausage. I could have checked but I'm on a schedule today.

I will ensure I have more...

This restaurant use to be the bomb. I went in there the other day and as soon as i walked in the smell just hits me. It smells like old cooking grease and rats. The pancakes and waffles had a orange tint to them. The eggs were wet #pathetic, sausage’s were raw and wet, the French fries were soaked in grease and the seasoning was horrible. I walked out of there smelling like old cooking grease. The smell was in my hair and clothes. This place is ghetto. I’m reporting them to the city of Boston.
