I have gotten the wrong order delivered to me about seven times. I have given them the benefit of a doubt plenty of times a couple of weeks ago I spoke to a man by the name of Derek who said that he was a manager and had apologize for the inconvenience . Tonight I ordered again and I had asked the woman to please staple the bag of french fries because they're usually cold once they arrive. I also ask her to not put the condiments on top of it. The woman who answered the phone is extremely rude she is extremely dismissive as I'm ordering she just keeps on repeating will that be all, will that be all will t with that be being said repeatedly I felt as if she was not listen so I backtrack and asked her if she heard me request to please staple the bag of fries and she hummed yes !!! When the food arrives if course the bag was not stapled the fries were extremely cold and seemed as if they were not recently made I had salt packages at the bottom of my box my sweet and sour sauce and ketchup on top of my fries that I requested not have them on top of the fries of the not to mention the delivery man was rude to the woman who answered the door . I called the store to make a complaint and the woman said that she was sorry to hear that and that it was her first time!!!! LIES!!! I had informed her that it was not her first time being very dismissive while taking my order that she actually apologized to me a couple of times and letting me know that she is only human and she makes mistakes she them seem to remember the encounters once I stated that.I then requested to speak to the managers she stated that there was no manager in the store tonight that one will be in tomorrow by the name Victor I spoke to one a few weeks ago by the name of Derek who also apologized. I was told to call in tomorrow to speak to Victor which I will be doing this is very unacceptable customer service is important especially a the city where there are so many other options you should be grateful that you have returning customers giving you the benefit of a doubt to get what they order correct and fresh and package the way they request. You all lost quite a few customers ,where I'm ordering from is a facility program with about 9 woman living in the home and about 9 to 8 men and woman staff who will no longer be ordering from this place!!!! Read moreI can't believe I am writing this review but on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, I had a negative experience with an employee when I tried to place an order at a restaurant I have been visiting since my childhood. I called Mattapan House of Pizza 30 minutes before their closing time which was not by choice, however unfortunately, I was met with an unprofessional and disgruntled employee who informed me that they were closed and hung up in my face, even though it was still 30 minutes before their actual closing time.
I strongly believe that this employee needs a major attitude adjustment as I have had mostly negative experiences with this person in the past, and whenever I came to this restaurant, I always try my best to be nice to this particular person. However, it seems that practicing good quality customer service isn't something that is enforced and taught much nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand if taking an order 30 minutes before closing time could be a major inconvenience if you want to go home; however, the tone of this person speaking to me over the phone could have been more friendlier and more professional.
Usually, calling this restaurant 30 minutes before their closing time was never an issue, and when I arrived, I was almost always met with good quality customer service. However lately I've been noticing a major decline in good quality customer service at this restaurant and although Mattapan House of Pizza has been a long-standing restaurant in the area, employees like this person are one of many reasons why Black businesses do not last. Read moreI am visiting from Atlanta. I wanted something to eat on the way to my sister's house so we called in an order of Buffalo Wings, Fries and coleslaw. Simple right. It took us a minute to pick it up which was our fault but it's all good.
When I got home I opened up my food and was like okay it smells good but then I noticed the wings looked different. The wings were breaded with flour, deep fried and tossed with barbeque sauce. I have never had video wings in this style. Normally the wings are seasoned lightly and deep fried naked. No flour. Because these were floured, they turned soft as soon as the sauce got them. They are not crispy. That was a bit of a downer. I wish I had known that before I ordered them.
The food was plentiful. The wings are very meaty. The French fries were not crispy. The coleslaw was homemade but was coarse chopped and barely any Cole slaw dressing or seasoning on it at all. That was disappointing. I would try their food again...
