Jamaicas Best Restaurant 2 — Restaurant in Boston

I'm honestly bummed out, frustrated and angry that I have to leave a review like this but it's sad how I once believed in the whole "support black business" motto only to realize it is the black businesses themselves that let down the black community, let alone not upholding and maintaining quality service that sets them apart from their competitors.

The portions are downright insulting and they have the audacity to charge so much for the littlest portions they can give you. You would get more portions in a soup kitchen than you would get as a paying customer in this "restaurant". If you ask for an item to be removed (i.e rice) and replaced with another item for the dish you want (i.e plaintains) and even tell them that they can still charge you for the same price and that you want a good equivalent hlping of that item, they give you the biggest attitude in the world. They do not listen to their customers and are not able to adapt to special requests which is a massive red flag in the restaurant industry, they constantly change their prices on the fly and there seems to be zero transparency with how they do things. The quality of the food is also highly suspect. When they replaced Golden Krust, I truly wanted these guys to succeed and win and unfortunately these guys are worse and don't seem up to the task of creating a winning experience worthy of your hard earned money....

I took the family to Jamaica Best and after looking at some of these "Reviews" I find it hard to believe that these are paying customers, and more likely paid "actors" used to post bad reviews.

We got different plates and shared amongst the family members to get a taste of the different dishes.

The kids LOVED the Fried Chicken and the Mac and Cheese.

The Oxtail and Curry Goat plates were generous portions. The young lady kept asking if there was enough gravy (rare that a Jamaican restaurant asks this. You usually get what the give).

The Cabbage was tender and flavorful. I could have eaten that alone.

We got a couple patties to take home. They had Curry Chicken and Veggies patties in addition to the Beef Patty.

Will most definitely come back here when passing...

Best customer service!! Great prices!! Jamaica’s Best can be order, delivered many ways call ahead or plan for catering. My kids and I love going here for good vibes and ice cream in the summertime. We order the fried chicken or BBQ. As well as the juicy fall off of the bone Oxtails w fluffy rice and peas, cabbage and plantain always on point.
