I have become Donny Hung’s regulars, and with good reason.

*UPDATE 08/15/23 I still come to T&T Hair Salon every 1-2weeks for a hair trim to maintain my hairstyle, and every 1-3mo for a hair bleach-dye appointment/touch up for the past 4-5years now 👏🥹

I’ll attach some photos of my proudest moments when my hair looked good, and made me feel good inside too, as I adapt to becoming a little boy to a young man. Treating myself out to a haircut has been very therapeutic. Please consider booking an appointment soon to take care of yourself!*

Before, I would just have a regular cut to maintain my natural colored haircut. I showed him several Google images, and he quickly adopted the style with momentary pauses to check in with me if the haircut is going as I expected.

But since then, he has encouraged me to try dying my hair. A specialty of this hair salon. And I never thought I could pull it off. He gave me that confidence overtime and showed me his portfolio of past customers who were amazed by their transformation.

Along with an educational experience of informing me what he has noticed with my hair such as damages or possible routines that I need to fix to have healthier thicker follicles. It was a conversation.

The experience for the hair dye should be done as an appointment 24 or more hrs in advance, with an expectation of 4-6hrs for the process (all depends on what hair color you currently have and want to end with) Estimate of costs are free to discuss.

He was very courteous to my needs over his. Such as allowing me to use my electronic devices, listening to music, recharging my devices, and in fact, there is a TV for you to connect your phone to via Bluetooth (there’s of course free WiFi) to utilize television platforms/apps like YouTube or Hulu.

Whenever I needed a break, I was permitted to stretch or run to the restroom. He even offered to buy me lunch! I was continuously showered with drinks as well to keep me from going thirsty.

It was such an Easter egg to see his wife and kids come stop by to say ‘Hi,’ and see what their father is doing, and his hard work in assisting with his customer’s overall confidence building.

Please don’t pass up their amazing service for your next hair treatment! And remember to tip (and pay in cash, like any other service)

I’ve been going to Thoai since 2021–over 3 years now. I had always been the kind of person to jump from hairdresser to hairdresser, but I didn’t realize the value of sticking to one person until I met Thoai!

Thoai works with so much skill, care, knowledge, and integrity. He has delivered beautiful cuts and colors over the years, and I trust his vision every time.

When I bring in inspiration photos, Thoai makes suggestions on how we can achieve a similar look that is more tailored to my features (head shape, face shape, hair type, etc.). He also is knowledgeable in the latest hair trends and how to deliver (I’d suggest checking out his Instagram @ThoaiVo for examples).

I think my favorite thing about Thoai is that he is innovative but maintains hair health as much as possible in the process because he uses high-quality products and techniques. My hair is always soft and shiny after visiting him, even after bleaching.

The salon experience is also great. I love the ambiance, and it’s conveniently located near JFK/UMass station. The styling stations have mini TVs, which Thoai allows me to broadcast any shows/movies I want to watch during the service. There are also tapestries/curtains at the styling/washing stations to maintain privacy. They take cash, Venmo, and Zelle.

Overall, I highly recommend T&T and visiting Thoai; he’s truly innovative, welcoming, passionate, talented, and a visionary! I trust him 10000% with my hair, and he is always happy to answer any questions/concerns. Lastly, the prices are reasonable for the quality of work and care you’re receiving, so you won’t...

I’ve been going to see Thoai for a year now. I swear, I will never let anyone else touch my hair! No more disappointments, no more weird haircuts, no more hairdressers that don’t listen to you. Thoai is the master of perfect hair. He will bring your hair back to life!!!! My hair always looks magical when he’s done with it and you might think that it’s only when it’s freshly done... true, after a few days it doesn’t look so perfect as when Thoai did it as I don’t straighten it and I don’t use special products to make it shiny BUT my hair continues to look amazing and you can tell that the haircuts he does look great no matter if you just let it air dry, if you blow dry it, if you curl or straighten it. As for the color...I’ve been going very blonde with Thoai as he knows exactly how to apply it without ruining my hair. I’ve gone the lightest possible and my hair has never been healthier- how is this even possible?!? The light blonde stays the same throughout the months!!!
