Despite the fact that most of the pizza at this establishment is pretty decent, the customer service that I experienced on several occasions was extremely horrible. The young Indian or Middle Eastern guy who works as the cashier was very nice the first couple of times I bought food, but his attitude/demeanor became very negative towards me. One night I ordered a tomato and pesto slice as I thought it would be a healthy alternative to some of their other slices and it sounded good, but to my surprise it tasted very weird and had no flavor. I complained to the young guy who works in the front, and he told me โwe normally do not take food back and wonโt do so in the future, but I can give you another slice this time.โ I have never heard of a restaurant that will not accommodate its customers when they are unsatisfied with the food. He also just had too much attitude in his tone as he made his comment. Nonetheless, I did not hold his poor professionalism against the company and went back a few times thereafter. But, I stopped going there for awhile, almost 5 months, because I moved out of the area. However, I was in Boston the other night and decided to get pizza from them. The young guy took my order and loudly said (because I ordered a 5 cheese slice) โif you donโt like it, then that is on you because we are not taking it back.โ That will be the last time I purchase anything from Crispy Dough. Iโm tired of supporting businesses and groups of people who think they can talk to customers anyhow and who do not support the communities they do...
ย ย ย Read moreBeen going there for about 18 months, but never had an experience like this until now. Phoned in my order around 7 pm, went to pick it up at 7:30 pm. Unfortunately, they forgot it completely (for the second straight week). I waited at the sales counter for 5 minutes, before being told it would be "1 more minute." Waited 5 more minutes, and finally order is ready. Went to pay for the order, and the cashier completes the transaction but forgets to charge me for a drink. Right after ringing up everything and as I was about to leave, he finally remembers and asks me to pay for the drink. I did, but reminded them they need to be more organized. The cashier promises to pay "special attention" to my orders next time, and that they would do it "just for me" --although sounding completely disingenuous. Fast forward two hours to ~9:30 pm. Received a phone call AT HOME from the Pizzeria (probably from the same cashier), asking me what my order was. I told them I already picked up a long time ago and it really didn't matter anymore. The speaker at the other end sounded confused. He then explained that my order was at the same time as a larger order from "a girl" and that they needed to know what I ordered so they can figure out what she ordered at that time. I told him what I ordered, and he hung up. Not sure the people who work there are just trolls, or this is a rather outrageous example of incompetence. In either case, probably should not subject their customers (especially repeat...
ย ย ย Read moreCrispy Dough Pizzeria is hands down the best non-cheese pizza I have ever eaten in my life. This is not an exaggeration.
The top seller is obviously the buffalo chicken pizza. It does not have tomato sauce. The buffalo chicken is light on buffalo sauce, and the pizza is drizzled with ranch to balance it out. The crust is thin and crispy. That first bite of the buffalo chicken pizza is something I still remember to this day. It is obviously best eaten fresh, or it definitely loses a little something the next day.
Aside from the buffalo, my family and I really like the crispy honey. It also has no sauce and has a great blend of sweetness from the honey mustard and a good tang from the banana peppers.
For those who love BBQ sauce, their BBQ chicken pizza is a great choice.
Their chicken tenders are huge, cooked fresh, and are actual pieces of chicken. The wings are also great and cooked fresh as well.
Their steak and cheese is top 2 in Boston for me. I order mine with mayo, onions and peppers. My wife adds jalapenos. I have to adjust the distribution of steak towards the edges, but that's really just a personal preference.
Anyone who comes to visit Boston, I take them to Crispy Dough and everyone has been amazed. You cannot get this style of pizza anywhere else. It is saved in my favorites on my Google Maps along with Home and Work. I have taken this pizza to Canada for my in-laws. It...
