I have been coming here for years but yesterday had the joy of hosting my best friend’s bridal shower in the side bar and it was so amazing I finally got off my butt to post a review because they deserve it. Firstly Tricia and Roisin the Devlin’s/bodega managers are simply lovely human beings all around and on a regular day go above and beyond to make your experience great. The atmosphere of all their bars is what’s keeping Brighton center lively and still very Irish but happily incorporating a lot of cultural influences in the food that keep it exciting. The food at devlins though is always excellent and changes just enough to keep you interested but the old reliables are always available. As a vegetarian I really appreciate that they incorporate beyond/ impossible meats so I can still get a fancy sandwich/bao bun etc. I love their drinks and to have one on the patio while the sun shines is to know true happiness. I literally love all things about them but in particular if you ever want to host an event contact Roisin and do it! They were outstanding. This shower began at 11am and I was corralling family members out after 6pm to give you an understanding of how much everyone enjoyed themselves. We love Devlin’s!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I have always had the best meals here. This location is inside of an older brick building that has plenty of character, warm wood interior, and large windows, making the space feel welcoming when you step inside. During the warmer months, Devlin's has an outdoor dining space behind the building. This is an oasis in the middle of urban sprawl, and it's easy to forget that the hustle and bustle is on the other side of the restaurant. All servers are attentive, patient, and thoughtful during interactions, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. The menu is a wonderful array of unique takes on some classic dishes along with comfort food and enticing desserts. There are also gluten-free and vegetarian options, providing plenty of choices for those with dietary restrictions or food allergies. Their kitchen is stringent with these practices, negating all worry when your meal arrives. I cannot say enough positive comments, and I'll end with eat a meal here, and you'll understand my love for Devlin's.

I last went here a few months and got the Full Irish and was blown away. But I just went again and got the same thing wanting to have that same experience and was unfortunately really disappointed. The quality went down a lot. The bacon was off, like it was old or something I'm not sure. But it was a pale color, and had a hair in it. The hash brown was so unbelievably greasy, the tomatoes felt like they were just heated up, not grilled or anything. I'm just really bummed out because it was incredible when I last got it and this is night and day. I might try it again in the future and hope that today was just an off day. EDIT. Just tried it again 8 months later for brunch, I got the french toast platter and my friend got the goat cheese omelette. Incredibly underwhelming. Hashbrowns are reheated frozen ones, eggs are overdone, and the omelette was more like an egg taco, none of the fillings were actually cooked with the egg. I'm not sure what happened here because I really did have one incredible breakfast, but I won't be back again.

Food: we got the chicken birria quesadilla, tuna, Poké bowl and Nashville chicken Caesar wrap. Everything was prepared well, I love the tuna poke mix with the sweet soy sauce which made every bite with the rice perfect. The quesadilla was pretty good. It’s simple with cheese and chicken seasoning. The guacamole that came with the quesadilla was pretty good, but I do think the birria sauce could be more flavorful. It was a little bit bland. Service: we sat at the bar and our bartender was really attentive and made sure that we had everything we need for our meal. Ambiance: it’s a pretty casual vibe with a wide range of audience coming in to either watch the game or just getting a quick bite. It’s rather spacious having two sides of the bar and a full selection of dining and patio seating. Location accommodation: there is parking on the side throughout the street.

Very cute place; Irish influences. There is a patio that is quiet and open in the mornings. First time here my waiter was lovely and made jokes with us while we were sitting on the patio. He was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. Second time I sat inside and our waitress was not very nice and didn't refill our waters or ask us if we needed anything. During the day the place is fairly quiet and not crowded, but get busier and louder as the night goes on. There are gluten free options here, but I'm not confident in it being all that safe to consume for those with celiac disease. Will probably go back because the other customers there are pleasant to be around and good company.

Good food. Back patio is nice for drinks in the summer. Definitely more of a college bar. Good crowd. Update from 3 years ago to now (Jul 2021): Had the rudest waitress I've ever encountered. I guess the worst part is she was barely listening and my gf and I are pescatarian, so we ordered the buffalo cauliflower pizza. She must of only heard the buffalo part and I didnt think to look hard at it, but the pizza was chicken. Realized after eating a slice. Fish tacos had bones in them too. :( maybe she was having a bad night. I love Devlin's and will try again, but I hope I don't get her as a waitress
